I have a 93 KA and was wondering which kind of tranny fluid I should get for my new tranny. I have narrowed it down to Red Line MT90 75W-90 GL-4 and Amsoil full synthetic 75W-90 GL-4. I currently have the Amsoil in my tranny but it was already fucked up when I put it in so it therefore has never shifted smoothly and I don't know if it really is good or not. I have heard many great things about Red Line MT90 and the Shockproof Heavy fluid also. Which do you guys think would be better?

Red Line MT90, I would only use shockproof if your tranny is totally fubar.

GM Syncromesh

Syncromunch? I wouldn't put that in our transmissions.

that movie is Saving Private Ryan

awesome movie IMO

i've been hearing a lot of great things about GM syncromesh, i have a lot of access to synthetic gl4 as well as gm syncromesh i'm going to try it myself and put my transmission on the line

what do you guys think should be the variables?

obviously the first test would be Full Synthetic
test 2 would probably bea mixture of 1/3 Syn and 2/3 Gm syncromesh
test 3 would probably be a mixture of 2/3 syn 1/3 GM syncromesh
test 4 would be 100% GM syncromesh,

IIRC GM Syncromesh is rated as 75w85 GL4

let me know what you guys think

No, it's a 5W30 non-detergent oil with a friction modifier and an EP (extreme pressure) additive.

It's for transmissions that are designed to use Motor Oil. Not Transmissions that are designed to use Gear Oil.
