Hey guys im doin my frist sr20det swap into a 1990 s13 hatch... the car had an rb25det swap in it..... I have just a few quick questions...

1. does anyone have experience buying a swap from japaneseengineimport.com??? Ive been told good things from the honda community but havent heard from any nissan boys....

2. honestly ive read the faqs about the different types of sr20det swaps and my mind is set on an s13 black or red top... other then the red top being older is there any reason not to save the $100 and just get the red top instead of the black top????

umm well thats about it.. thanks alot for ur help guys.... and if I run into any more questions ill post em up....

the red top doesnt have cooling fins on the head! and the black top has the cooling fins on the head. Other than that no diffrence.

I bought two b16's from them in the past. They let me pick out my motor and then cleaned it up for me and loaded it in the truck. They seem to have a lot of Nissan motors as well.

With any use motor, replace stuff before putting it in. My one b16 had a leaky headgasket.
