I'm getting between 300-350 depending on how i drive.
RB20DET
Probably a little more in reality since i have a J30 VLSD and taller than stock wheels and tires. Speedometer reads a few mph low.
What do you have a KA?

mild freeway/streets. i got 380 average. sometimes 400 on 91.
one time, i got 430 coasting down hills shifting at like 2k, drafting behind trucks. no radio, no ac. windows up. haha. during summer.

On an NA KA with a aem intake, ebay S14 shorty headers, test pipe, and HKS catback (very quiet) I have gotten around 445 TOPS baby driving 90% of it freeway.
Usually I will get 350 to 380, and I do get on it from time to time, and equal mix of freeway and city driving.
Also I run mostly 93, with a splash of 89 whenever I am feeling cheap.
Motor was rebuilt not long ago tho, has maybe 2600 miles on it.

I get about 28mpg interstate, windows down, 70-85mph with no sudden hardcore acceleration.
22mpg or so city, shifting kinda high at 3-4k, light throttle.
Forge_55b
10-17-2008, 12:29 AM
i get almost 400 miles on a full tank just driving slow, shifting at 3k or lower sometimes, and actually driving 65 on the freeways......
occasionally i do drive retarded and do 100 on the freeway or redline it on the streets but saving money on gas and staying away from tickets is nice too
don_bagz
10-17-2008, 12:32 AM
kade, about 380-400 a tank at 87..
does premium or other brand help in milage?
drive around 70-75 on freeway.. i would say 60% freeway driving

GAS: Arco 87 Octane
I've gotten 381 miles, then went to fill up and got in approx. 14.7 gallons in the tank, all this driving was on a stock KA24DE bone stock engine wise.....at an average speed of 90mph with burst over 125mph....long long long road trip, car was automatic also atthe time.

Built KA-T, GT3076R, 850cc, enthalpy ecu.
City 17mpg
HWY 21mpg
NO BOOST
I don't even drive fast and 90% of the time stay out of boost. I usually coast about 8-10% throttle everywhere. No idea why i burn so much gas...

MPG= Miles Per Gallon= miles driven/gallons of fuel used, not how far you've driven on a tank of gas. I only say this because the fuel gauge isn't always accurate, and the only way you really know what kind of mileage your getting is to do the math.
Up until last fall I was going about 370ish miles before feeling the urge to fill up, about 25-27 mpg was my average for mostly city driving.
Now I get 23-25 mpg and occasionally better.

Stock S14 SR with side mount and OEM silvia fuel pump. I drove nothing but interstate for the first 180 miles and it didn't even use a quarter of a tank of gas. So interstate only driving I'll get around 31mpg and my average MPG which is a mix of city and interstate I get around 27-28mpg....or like 380-390 miles per tank - I don't let the light come on or anything so I am sure it would be around 420 if I let the light come on.
If I rip on it some it will get ~24-26mpg.
I usually shift between 2800 and 3000 rpms, I drive 5-10 over the speed limit around here (interstates are 55mph here), I just watch my boost gauge and make sure it doesn't go up that high, haha.
Oh I also only use Shell 93 V-Power gas.

next time you fill up, get a full tank and reset your trip meter.. then the next time you fill up maybe a week or two later, just see how much gas you put in to fill it up again.. then, divide your gallons added to get a full tank, from your trip meter... there yah go.. MPG...

For some reason I'm getting horrible gas mileage. I go about 4-5 miles a day round trip from home to work and I was almost empty at 150 miles when I filled up recently. I have a 91 auto with an s14 KA with intake and catback exhaust. I'm starting to wonder if my gas gauge is off since my car is running fine. I run 87 octane from usually shell or flyers.

Not and S14, but my test car makes close to 500 hp at the fly and gets average 30 mpg (850cc SARD Injectors with return line and Denso Fuel Pump).
thats right, 30mpg hwy...
With steady state tuning you can maximize each individual cell on the maps perfectly all through the EMS (any ems). Very very responsive and better spool lower end torque are achieved with this method without needing twin scroll and fuel economy is massivley improved over other methods of tuning.
granted it gets about four mpg if I am at FOT :keke:

I would get 28-32mpg on the highway with my old ka-t. This was with some luggage in the car as well as my gf, just driving anywhere between 60 and 85, and pretty much just cruising. When I got 32 mpg I kept it under 75 and wasn't really getting on it at all.

Im curious i want to try it myself... just not sure where it should be plumbed into the intake, sending it thru the maf might be good because it will get measured as air, but not sure you want this stuff running thru the hot turbo since its combustible.

Its been proven in Mythbusters that this doesn't work unless you ride dangerously close behind a truck. Either way, It makes little difference.
if you are driving like 40 mph behind a truck im sure it aint gonna do shit. but if you're going 80 mph behind a truck im pretty sure it would. depending on distance of course.
