Dosen't need it.I'm getting pretty damn good mileage on my Red w/ No EGR Shit.Ditch it unless you need to Pass Emiss.

well then...You've got some vac (VSV) issues or the canister is Full or could be a # of things then.

What kind of car,motor etc?

I got that code when i put on my header, reset it, haven't gotten it again in five months.

93 KA 5spd Coupe. I reset the ECU and it came back.

More than likely the bypass hose from the EGRC-BPT valve is broken, it's a short right angle hose on the bottom of the valve which cracks over time due to heat. Replace it. If not the BPT solenoid could be bad, download an FSM and follow the diagnostics.
