so, hi, new here, been into 240's for a while though. I want a 97/98, found one for sale but I'll need more down to get the payments low. So I'm still searchin, also lookin for info.
I know just about every part I want on it, just can't decide on a color, but that doesn't matter for now.
btw, will an SR20 pass emissions? or maybe I should say CAN it? I've seen stuff from places that sell them that says they wont, but emissions isnt as hard as they want you to think it is and its possibly to get just about any engine combo to pass, maybe not a visual inspection but it wont set off the meter.

The emmisions question is dependant on where you live. It has been discussed here a lot and I would search if I were you.

there's a black '97 for sale in Bridgeport for under $10,000. Not sure if it's auto or 5spd but if you're gonna swap to an SR it wouldn't matter anyways right?

A friend of mine on the Milford border is running a blacktop SR in an S13... I don't think he's brought it to inspection with the SR in it though. AFAIK CT cops don't really check for engine swaps anyways, so as long as you had it inspected with the KA in it you'd be fine for quite a while.

Yeeea thats the one I want, I'm looking for a job that I can get some more hours in, hopefully make a little more an hour too, but whatever, so I could have money left over after making payments on the car & insurance.

well, assuming that car is in good condition.... that's as cheap as they get. with the way 240's seem to be selling lately, I wouldn't be surprised if it was gone any time soon. but.... good luck with it, or with whatever car you end up buying!

theres another one up for sale, same thing, definatly an automatic, 98k miles, for $7500, not from a dealer though.

I noticed S13 prices just about doubled since stupid street started featuring 10 or 20 every issue along with drift competitions.
its nice that drifting is getting some media attension here in the states, but its created a new breed of ricers and they're dumber then ever.
