Pleas Help! Ka-t Fuel problems

If you have read my other thread your know that i was installing my 370cc injectors in my Ka-t. well they wer not functioning right so i re installed my stock injectors. AND NOW THEY ARE NOT WORKING RIGHT! The first piston ( the one closer to you) is not combusting. Oh MY God!! im just about to go crazy!!! wat the hell is going on?? i checked the injector and the o rings are fine. because they are brand new!! What did i dO!!!! I just wanna strangle my self. Why is the fuel system so freakin hard!!! PLEASE HELP!! Ive been inhaling fuel all daam day! I have also follewed the chiltons manual!

Can you verify that it's an issue with the injector, electrical system, or spark plug?

Anyways, are you sure the seals are ok?? Improper installation on my part when I was upgrading lead to a lot of broken seals, ending up with too little fuel pressure and a cylinder flooding (causing it to act like a dead cylinder). The injectors should be hand twisted in, and should kind of "click" into place. When I did it I made the mistake of using the screw caps to push them in..... also make sure your connectors are snapped on securely.

yeah i have a problem with re installing them. i use the metal caps to push them in. pushing them by hand is impossible. and as for twisting them, the rubber seals always tear. my cylinder now combusts but a little bit of white smoke is billowing out of my exhaust.

if you can't push them in by hand, use a large pair of pliers to grip the top to add some grip and leverage to "pop" them into place. try not to rotate them a lot... a little bit of jiggling and a bit of force pushing them in will get them in place. as for the o-rings, what you can do is use some vegetable oil, or something that won't expand the seal. They should pop in fine like that.

I ended up buying like 4 sets of O-rings before finally figuring out that it was how I was installing them that was tearing the o-rings away. If you still have problems with them tearing, you might have a burr somewhere in the rail.... but that's unlikely.

Good luck and be careful with those O-rings!! I'm willing to bet the 370's were fine, and you were just installing them incorrectly (like the 270's).

can i use motor oil for the seals? will it clog the injectors?

Motor oil might cause the seals to expand... if you don't have vegetable oil, canola oil is the same thing... it should be in your kitchen. i'm a college student living alone in an apartment and even I have vegetable oil.

If in doubt though, WD-40 or motor oil might work.....

I have never tore an injector seal...and I have put my injectors in twice, among others. Always use WD40 to lubricate them when putting them in, and move slowly and carefully. Twist and push.

damn, you guys must have magical hands or sumthing, strong yet gentile. i practically put my whole weight on those injectors but they just dont simply 'pop' in. i kno i shouldnt but the easiest thing to do is to use the metal caps to push the injectors in. And another question, (this is probably bad). they squirting end plastic cap is cracked on one of my injectors. one out of 4 prongs has broken off. and the rim is also cracked. how will this effect my car? in a bad way
