i have been on here for a while and have been looking around . i noticed other people with similar topics but i still cant get a good idea from them . please dont flame
i have a 1993 nissan 240sx and im looking into Rota P-45R rims that are 17x9.5 4x114.3 with +12 offset. want something that sits somewhat flush.
right now i have no of suspension mods, still ride height
1.) will they be good to go when i throw them on with the stock height or will modifications need to be made? also 2.) will i need to fender roll/pull when i lower the car? i plan on dropping it 2" - 2.25". let me know guys id appreciate it alot, also save me alot of worrying

imo save for coils first.
youll regret not being able to adjust ride height, while at the same time trying to get it flush.
also, you wont be able to slam it, meaning itll probably not look flush/tucked at all.

that is nothing. you can easily double that and still not look "low"

i need new tires because the metal tread is starting to come out now . i dont wanna replace tires on these rims cause i dont want them anymore . so would the fitment be a problem stock/lowered with what i said?
i doubt you'll even hit the fender if you're dropping it 2 and a quarter inches.

Do you want the tires squared (wide) or stretched? Squared = 245/40 17s, stretched = 225/45 17s.

fail
just get the 17x9.5 +12 it won't rub at all stock
and when you lower it just pull the fenders if you gonna slam it

just buy cheap tires for now.
save up and do it the right way:
coils+arms+wheels+tires+roll=flush
just curious, why not roll?

what he ^^ said. do it in the right order. you'll enjoy a lowered car on stock tires a lot more than a stock height car on decent wheels that looks like poop.

^^great vid one of my favorites. But I say fender roller+heat gun+patience= clean flat roll. Very easy to do. Just take your time and go slow. There's a bid on YouTube somewhere or maybe Eastwood's website.
Google Eastwood fender roller, power by max also sells one. Search button too.
Or just use a baseball bat.

you might as well stay stock...
and how will you get p45-R in the +12 offset? i thought only +20 is avail. in the states and +12 is overseas order..
anywho... Just save up for the better sizing, man up, and work with them bitches.
