shift fast w/ auto from 240sx.org

i saw this shift fast thing from 240sx.org
all u had to do is unplug this wire next to air box.
do u guys think it really works or just u feel like its faster??

The thing you're unplugging to do this is the dropping resistor for the automatic transmission line pressure solenoid. Unplug it and transmission fluid pressure is basically unrestricted... resulting in faster, harder shifts.

Not in the short term... you won't blow up the transmission. In the long term, though, the higher pressures and temperatures in the transmission are bad for it and will wear parts faster. It's probably not a good idea to drive the car every day like that. But, once in a while when you're at the dragstrip won't hurt it too much.

yea its not good all the time but its fun to fool around with or when u need it. u can definately notice the difference. the transmission only drops about 500 rpms in btw shifts; as opposed to 1500 rpms. its great man try it out.
