View Full Version : WTB: S14 vss. Manual. Speed sensor.

I need a speed sensor for my S14. Manual VSS from 95-98. Ill take it as long as its for an s14!

Its a plastic sensor from what i've heard.

I really really really need this because:

1. IVe been driving my car for 2 years without a speed sensor. I have no idea how fast I go.
2. Actually I do have an idea of how fast i go. I think around 3000rpm im goin around 70-75.
3. My car might run better if it has the speed sensor data. It might run better and give me better gas mileage. (I dont know? Maybe?)
4. People are always scared to ride in my car. They go 'Wtf! how fast are u going!?' 0mph!!
5. I would like to feel normal.
6. Speed sensors give you confidence in your driving strategies.
7. This will give me data in my turbotimer and tell me my 0-60. Whatever that might be.
8. I will drive slower.
9. I would like to feel the ECUs speed limiter. and get slowed down after i hit 110 or is it 120mph.

JUST GIVE ME ONE!! I will pay upto $40 OBO?

kcndizzle, I Pm'd you several times, you never responded. Do you have it?

Anyone else got one of these lyin around? I just called 10 junkyards in the area, Nobody has this. wth.

Automatic Sensor wont work. The thread clearly specifies my need for a Manual Vss. Standard. 5Spd. Non-Auto. Not changing gears by itself. I already have an Auto S14 Tranny sitting around. From what ive heard I cannot use this vss.

Sorry, my mistake.

I bought this from a local contact who told me it was for a 5 speed.

When my s14 sr fired up, the JDM VSS worked, and was accurate. So I had no need for this one.

I wasn't trying to pull anything, Im just glad I know what it really is now.

No worries. Those auto vss are everywhere. Im not surprised someone fooled you into buying one. I hope I find one somewhere. Thanks ne way.
