Quick one:
Car shut down 2 times yesterday totally random,, cruising and idling fine then plop lost all power and died but turned back on after 1 or 2 min. (had 5 days running fine), Wiring was redone time ago to fix some electrical problems too

Things i noticed:
- Ground cable from my electrical fan was lose (had a relay there but the negative cable fell off), maybe touching randomly
- When drifting RIGHT my car shuts down, just like it shut down while cruising.... im thinking maybe its the fan wiring that is done poorly? like the neg cable thing?
- Some time ago my alternator cables were touching each other, blowing my alt fuse. but i moved them appart and taped them (noticed this trying to fix my right drifting problem)

Now check this out.... it seems the fuses and cables overheating (fuel pump fuse and headlight fuses) are connected directly to the battery!!! wtf....!!! also my key assembly runs a lil hot and its the point where the fuel pump fuse links iwth the battery!
look at these pics, red cables are from the battery to the fuses... and i point out the fuses get hot and the headlight cables, wtf is wrong my car? alternator? what?

If the wires are getting extremely hot to the point of melting the insulation you have a problem of a short somewhere. Now.. if it were that big of a problem you fuses would have blown due to the fact of too much current running through explaining the heat. if none of that takes place, it could be something as small as an ignition coil being bad.

Thx ill be checking that! i remember someone pointing the coil to me some time ago

The cables arent Melting, but they get hot, now the FUSES are HOOOOOOTTTTT melting, after 2 or 3 days they are totally melted all shrinked etc, and its weird, look at the pictures and ull notice that both the fuses and cables getting hot etc are linked directly to the battery.... i dont know much of wiring but i cant seem to get that coincidence out of my head...

Hey, is your car lowered?? My s13 was lowered and it ate through the wiring harness under the driver side fender. It caused all sorts of crazy issues with the headlights and fuses getting hot and blowing. After repairing it i used some zip ties to hold it further away from the tire and all was good again. Just guessing since you said when you drift to the right it dies soo when you goto the right it may be pushing the driver side into the wiring harness more.

yeah i took that into account, we fixed that we opened the whole harness and fixed all those things. :S

this is making me nuts, gotta get a coil, how can i check if a cable is overloaded or something... or my battery or alternator overloading or something?
