I have a friend with a 88 Merkur.. it has a t3 .60/.63 and bosch 35lb injectors from the factor... he knows where 5 are in the junkyard untouched because barely anyone knows what they are.. and dont care to open the hood and see the fat turbo... the turbo is a garett unit with a 4 bolt ehuast flange... oil cooled.. the injectors are 35lb MPI low impedence.. Is this all the same or VERY close to same as a 300zx? And will it work on my car if I get the proper manifold, piping, and fuel system? Thanks

The turbo will work. It'll go on easier than a Z31 300ZX turbo as well, because it won't have the funky output.

The injectors on the other hand, are going to be a problem. Those won't drop into the KA fuel rail, so you'll need a custom rail. Also, the KA and SR use high impedance injectors from the factory.

The turbo is a good turbo to use, and others have used the Merkur turbo. It is the same as on the Ford Thunderbird.
The injectors will fry the ecu if you run them without resistors. That is, if they even fit in the rail. They will be so much more headache than they are worth.
Use either 95+ 300zx TT injectors, or any sr20det injectors. They are the same flow (370cc = 35.284 lbs/hr), and drop into the ka24DE fuel rail, and don't require resistors, because they are high impedance. Of those 2 sets, the sr20det units are much cheaper.
