the transmissions arent the same. i just did my swap about a week ago used a s13 sohc tranny and got it in everythign worked but the driveshaft and on the top of the s14 tranny there's a sensor called the Crank Angle Sensor (CAS) and the s13 doesnt have it, the sensor from what i read in the book has to do with the fly wheel and wont run right w.o it. U could drill the whole for the (CAS) in the s13 tranny though.

Please shut the fuck up if you have no clue. The part in question is the CPS, crank position sensor. You can drill for it or swap to an S14 bellhousing, like it's been said in probably 200 posts on here if you bothered to search, but it's not required. The transmission is the same otherwise. You would have also found through searching the CPS has nothing to do with engine operation. NOTHING. It's used to diagnose misfire for the OBD system. The ONLY affect you'll have by not using it it a CEL. Car runs fine. We've discussed this to the point of being a weekly thing.
