Alright so heres the deal. When my car is cold...i can go out to it and try to start it a few times and eventually it will start up and idle...without touching the gas. It will continue to run fine and give no problems. When i cut the car off after it warms up...it doesnt want to start. It will crank...idle extremely low (400rpm's or so) and then die down. Even if i give it gas as soon as i let out it will die out. This is a completely stock ka24e. I checked the ecu and it threw the code for the engine temp sensor. I dont know if that being bad could cause it to run this bad. I also checked the ecu in mode 1 and it will start off with the green light on for a few seconds and then it goes off.

Change the sensor, it probably is bad. SRs have the same problem so its very similar to KA issues. Only thing is I cant remember exactly where it is on a SOHC KA. Havent dealt with it a whole lot. Im willing to take a stab that its in the same general location as the SR. Left side of the engine, follow the lower radiator hose to the engine. That area should be where the thermostat is at. Look around there/above that and you should find 2 sensors thats right next to each other. One is a 2 wire sensor and the other should be a 1 wire sensor. The sensor thats bad is the 2 wire one.

Basically, when the engine is cold, the engine adds extra fuel into to it until it warms up. If that sensor is bad, the ECU thinks the engine is cold even tho its warm. It ends up dumping too fuel causing the engine to bog.

Bingo, the ECU is staying in the cold fuel map after it warms up, flooding the engine.

Almost the same thing is happening to my SR, only when I 1st start it. It idles and bogs I have to give it gas to keep it alive and for it to warm up .Would it be the same issue with the senors? SORRY FOR THREAD JACKING....

No, the senors would not affect it, they're all in Mexico.

AzianKingz, quit spamming you piece of shit, your not helping anyone.

I would get a new ECU if its not reading the cold fuel map sensors.

Ehh it turns out its a combination of it being the wrong TPS and the wrong ecu. Basically i was trying to run a manual TPS with an auto ecu...and the auto ecu i was running was for the higher compression ka24e and ive got the lower compression motor in my car.
