I believe that one of my wheels is not holding air since I have to pump it up every day. It is an enkei mesh wheel, but I'm not sure how it got damaged. Is it expensive to fix the wheel or should I just buy another wheel (or a different set of wheels)?

is the tire bad?
is the wheel bad?

which one is it?

you should take both to a shop and have them figure it out.

it sounds like your bead isnt setting. Prolly some nasty black gunk allowing it to leak out. I see it all the time. Take the tire off, clean up the rim of the wheel. your best friend will be the wizz wheel.

Do you know your wheel is damaged?

the easiest way to find a leak is to put some soapy water where u think its leaking, if it is leaking you get bubbles, simple as that

do what i do at work: dump it in a tub of water. check where it leaks.
or better if you're lazy, take it to tire shop

WTF?

How do you know it's the wheel? Could be the tire or valve stem too.

One of my would leak down pretty often as well. Turned out that the bead of the tire had a small cut in it.

That happens when its being put on. If they went ahead and slapped it on like that, then the shop that put it on is a fault, and you should recieve a free tire... at least thats how it was at firestone...

Anyhow, there are like, 3 ways it can leak
1-tire has a hole
2-bead isnt seating properly
3-valvestem/core

Get some soapy water and check those three things.

hmm ive had the tire for a while and the leak just started recently, so it probably isnt the bead

ive sprayed it with soapy water and couldnt find any leaks...i have also repaired the tire twice though

ill try dunking it in some water.

if the valve stem is messed up, how can i fix that?

there is a tool that you can use to unscrew the center piece in it and replace that if that is the case which is really cheap

Not to be a dick, but you're 21 yrs old and you don't how to find a leak on a tire? Do you hear a hissing sound anywhere? Is there an object in it somewhere? Any cuts/tears on the sidewall?
Valve stems are replaced if cut or damaged when the tire is off, something my 12 yr old nephew knows. I'm amazed you're confused about any of this.

yes ive checked all these things and still cant find the problem. thats why im asking if theres anything im missing. whats your problem? why are you talking to me like im stupider than your 12 year old nephew?

i know youre 34 but come on, have some common courtesy for people. even though it's the internet, it's real people on the other side. that's not how you talk to people in real life is it? zilvia is full of asses, but it would be nice if people didn't act like such dicks too.

also, between school and work, i don't have much time to investigate things on my piece of shit 240sx. when i graduate, then i'll buy a real car. i like to modify and play around with my car, but for now, i just need it to work.

so you're asking for people online to GUESS what your problem is because you "don't have time". half of us on here are in school and work like you. have you seen the cars on here? we're not rich kids (well not all of us)

i think you, not your car, is the piece of shit dude.

also, you say the tires been repaired twice. a leak could just be inevitable. it happens. just got get a new fucking tire.

DAYUM i miss reeppppppppp
