I'm just starting out, but if there is a place you want to learn, this is the place - no walls to hit, just corn to run over.

Oh, and you get to make snowmen out of tire shreds after burnouts...

We do have a rule that everyone has to wear helmets. This was a day where there were like 6 cars and no one was out there. The two drivers are damn experienced and trust me, no accidents were going to happen.

We do ask that you sign a waver when you go out but its standard stuff like you blow your motor, its your own fault....

By the way, next sunday we are probably going to be out. Not much is planned for this sunday, and if you want to keep track of when we are going out, sign up for www.driftpa.com , all the dates are there and we'll update according.

If you guys want an address to google, just google state college, it will give you a general idea of how long it will take you. If you are serious in coming, just give us a shout on DriftPA and we'll tell you from there. We do ask that you sign a waver, but in all honesty, its just arbitrary stuff like dont be an idiot, wear a helmet (which we have a few of) and if you blow shit up, you gotta get it outta there yourself.

CRAP

I was just told about this from Dan. I'm not sure if any of you guys from PA know of him, but you probably do. This is probably the most EPIC thing I have ever heard about. It's 4 hours from me, but I would do this every Sunday.

The unfortunate part of that is...

We pretty much do drift it once a week.

I dont know how the showing is going to be next week - Drift Camp in Reading and the green S14 and black S14/R33 are going which essentially head up these meets. If you are going to make a date to go, make it in 2 weeks. The only reason things are kind of falling off right now are because we drifted our faces off for 3 weeks straight and now I dont have any more money for tires...

The RX7 has an engine fire every week, the R33 spun a rod bearing, the mustang which drifts with us spun a bearing, the green S14 is getting tuned this weekend for drift camp, and I won't be there either. So in short when the people go at it, they go at it pretty hard.

Sign up on driftpa.com and gauge some interest - that is the forum where ALL the updates are going to be put up. Its kind of hard for me to relay this back and forth..

For the person who asked about the track setup....

GUYS, REMEMBER THIS IS A PRIVATE TRACK, NEVER SHOW UP UNLESS THERE IS A SANCTIONED EVENT, or you get ahold of me first to set something private up! its 100% private property, not open to the public. We know the owner and get special permission to go out and slide whenever we want. Its literally in his back yard and could easily call the police, no different then sliding a parking lot. Full details on this track are at driftPA.com and we dont want to lose this special privilege we have. One person can ruin it for everyone.

Exactly.

DO NOT go to the track if you know where it is when there is not an event scheduled. What I quoted from Steve's post is 100% true. Out of the owners kindness he lets us use this track, he doesn't have to. One person can ruin it for everyone.

Understood. I was under the assumption that the events were going on every Sunday. I definitely wouldn't just show up there and start going nuts. You can at least count on me for that, haha.

Yeah, we were just making sure it was understood by all. Better to be safe then sorry. In the past something like this happened, just a group of random people no one knew went out and just messed around. Not a good thing.

Yeah, that's fine. I would go on your forum and get rid of the address. It's posted up there for all to see on one of the threads. Just a heads up for some extra insurance. :coolugh:

you guys are really nice to be sharing this like a secret surf spot on an internet forum! it looks like a lot of fun. i hope you're able to keep it organized. do any of you guys go to englishtown, nj events? i'm just curious. also, which one of you is truly in charge? maybe we're all related somehow.

so could i just attend a regularly scheduled event just like that? i'm just a beginner. what i would be afraid of is mechanical breakdown at a track that far away...i'd need a transport vehicle.
