ok i just got a good deal on a 240...its stock with a ka24e...everything works on it even a/c...the problem is that the temp neddle jumps around alot, but doesnt over heat... i noticed it mostly does it when i have the a/c on....and not really when its off....when i bought it the guy told me he changed the radiator hoses and water pump...i think it could be the thermostat or the temp sensor...

any suggestions!!!!

Now, I'm not saying that you're car isn't actually overheating or anything here, but just to let you know, the stock temp gauge is the biggest piece of shit ever. If its jumping around alot, you probably have an electrical issue relating to the gauge or the temp sensor itself.

But since you said he told you he replaced the hoses and the water pump, make sure the cooling system is bled properly. You could have air pockets in the cooling system.

Check to make sure it really is getting hot. If so, bleed it. You still have an air pocket somewhere.
