why dont you replace the shit the computer told you by going with the codes. Like lets say you have a po340 knock sensor.......Well replace that then. do you see what im saying here its not rocket science!

Fail.

The CPS is probably broken or missing from a clutch job, check it to see if it's still in place. The knock sensor is due to a number of things, bad gas, fouled plugs, bad cap/rotor, etc.

check the 2 plugs at the back of the engine between the valve cover and the fire wall, that fixed 2 of my CEL code

Strange suggestion unless you had the same codes.

With OBD2, you can't just fix random shit to make the CEL turn off.

On my S13, the light is always off, as long as the engine is running. :keke:

You got lucky, neither of those items are anywhere near the back of the engine and any plug you messed with would not have affected either of them as well.

In fact the only plug at the back of the head on an OBD-I car is the EGRC-BPT solenoid.

yea mine was throwing the knock sensor code and i hit it with some octane boost then just got some better gas and it stayed away. I had the maf code to and ended up having to replace that you should be able to find one for a reasonable price on the for sale thread as thats where i got mine..

That's the SCV solenoid.
