This crap was so easy, it was my first time soldering and first time every doing Sh*t like this haha

First things first, buy LEDs and resistors IN BULK, I got mine off of ebay, 100 20k MCD 5mm 30ma LEDs, these come with a free 100 pack of resistors, if your gonna order these ask for the 330 ohm resistors, I didn't know they came with them until after I ordered and I got 120 ohm resistors, which won't work. Heres the link:

http://cgi.ebay.com/100-5mm-White-LED-2000...id=p3286.c0.m14 (http://cgi.ebay.com/100-5mm-White-LED-20000-mcd-SAME-DAY-USA-SHIPPING-F-R_W0QQitemZ330271481791QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item330 271481791&_trkparms=72%3A1205%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C 240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14)

Incase you buy any brighter, heres a website you can use to calculate your resistor size:

Super Bright LEDs - LED Info (http://www.superbrightleds.com/led_info.htm)

I wired these in series-parallel, like this,

Pretty simple huh? I suck at write ups so any questions, feel free to ask.

BTW, ClearCorners.Com [ top projects ] (http://www.clearcorners.com) sells the same kinda crap with 24 LEDS for $350, I did this for about $50, you can do it for like $20 if you have all the materials at hand

Also, if you doing a dome light, you will either have to buy the lower profile wide viewing angle LED's or modify your current dome light, I'm in the process of modifying it right now.

u know its best to get bulbs with a wide angle, more like in the 35-40 degrees. the ones u got r like 25, its bright but it will have a concentrated beam instead of having a spread output

That's great that you did it yourself - could lead to different projects.

However, the dome light mod, can be had for $13 shipped to your door (my write up is for s13 vert, but they sell different size led pieces):

DIY 240sx Vert Led Dome Light Upgrade (http://zilvia.net/f/tech-talk/194403-diy-240sx-convertible-led-dome-light-upgrade.html)

Much less exposed wires to get shorted as well.

Shoryuu, I realized that before I after I had everything wired up, haha.

These are pretty spread out though, I've yet to cut up the stock housing to make them fit though, I may just sell it to a friend and try it with the lower profile, wide angle LED's

Holy shit, Miggy, you read my mind. I've been wanting to do this all around my car but wasn't 100% on the diagram. Thanks, bro! I was about to IM you asking you about it, hahaha.

I fit three of those in my dome light, and just wrapped the wires around the prongs for the bulb.

Once the cover is on it's not going anywhere, and it's bright as fuck.

Didn't have to solder anything.

I'm telling you those 5mm's fail compared to superflux style led's. Why run 30ma leds' when you can run 80ma led's?

undesiredshoe and fueled by hate know what they are talking about.
MCD means nothing, worry about mA.

Or why not get 100ma BHK superfluxes. I use a few to light up my room since my lightbulb died. :bigok:

Or better yet, Luxeon III!!!!
