I love vintage aircraft, mostly prop fighters from WWI &WWII.. sadly, the only plane of those era at the March Field Musuem, was a Japanese Val Dive Bomber.. which was cool, but they didnt even have a mustang or Zero...
Planes of Fame museum in chino is way better.. but this one is by my house so whatever..

Sadly, this place feels more like a junkyard .. seeing all these cool planes sitting outside weathered in the sun.. I know Planes of Fame in chino has all their planes sitting in hangers.. this one has most of them outside. Mostly planes from the cold war and up *jets*. Still cool non the less.

cool. i know nothing about planes. which is ironic because i used to work ground support at a local, private FBO. i used to tow and fuel king airs, hawkers, leer jets, G5's, citations, cessnas, bonanzas, and the occasional CRJ. i'd have to hook up the single point nozzle. and some of them required me to sit in the cockpit, and turn the power on,so i could watch the fuel gauges while i filled them. on those smaller jets, if you fill 1 wing more rapidly than the other, they can tip in one side. lol. same goes with the lower, rear tank (dorsal?). i cant remember. the jet truck was my favorite part though. i even had to marshal them in and out.
again, cool pics. i was expecting them to be in a massive hangar though.

Ah this brings back fond childhood memories. The air museum back at home was always a place of joy, no mater how many times I went

yah the thing about this museum is that most of the planes dont look like they are in the condition to fly.. weathered/faded etc.. Compared to other museums that have their planes in hangers, which look like they could jump right in and fly.
Planes of Fame is a much better museum
Planes of Fame Air Museum ~ Official Site (http://www.planesoffame.org/)
everything is in top shape in hangers

The one in warner robins, some of those planes look like they should still be in service. A few of them how look historic but clean still though

I alway wanted to go as a kid. I drive past it every time I visit my father-in-law, but after seeing the pics I think I'll pass... I'll just keep going to the local airstrip when I need my aeronautic fix. :)

Ya know, I have driven by that place sooo many times, and never been in there. I doubt I will ever...I have seen enough aircraft to last the rest of my life.
