So my friend gave me his arc shift knob and I can't get mine off. It fells like it is super glue on. Do u guys have any ideas to help me get it off:eek3d:

Is it ok if I laugh at the word "shirft"? Anyway, try harder?? It's possible a former owner could have put some kind of adhesive on the threads. If it doesn't come off you can still remove the shifter/boot/trim by prying up the trim carefully around the corners, removing unbolting the six bolts at the shifter base, and working on it out of the car.

I always have to use vicegrips on my knobs when I want to get them off.

But they're usually some beat up stock one I don't give a shit about so I grip that motherfucker and rip it up.

I used vicegrips below the knob to keep the shifter from moving as I twisted the knob with both hands to finally break the shift knob loose...
