I found this used RS*R exhaust and its in my price range. It has 3" pipe and test pipe. (honestly, I wish it didn't have the test pipe, but I can always get a car later). What I want to know is, how loud will this thing be? I've always been told that RS*R exhaust's are relatively quiet. Here's a pic, thanks.

yea, they are pretty quiet relative to others, I haven't heard them on 240's but I have heard them on integras. They are nice looking exhaust without the loud buzzy sound. They are pretty rare too.

Given your sig, I assume you are getting an SR? 3" would be too big for an n/a KA

looks like the RS*R Invidia exhaust, same as i have on my car (see attached pics). very nice low exhaust tone, a little deeper sounding than my friends Greddy exhaust. the nice thing about it is that it's full stainless (you can polish it up real nice), the bad thing is that is fricken heavy. it's 3" piping so on my KA i did lose some low end, but the mid-high range pull is nice.
if you can get it for a good price you should pick it up.

I will have the SR next week so I'm getting all the parts together i need.

Just talked to seller. This is not the invidia exhaust, its RS*R japan? maybe the invidia was for the US market? anyway, its not full SS either. but the good part is that its from the turbo, back, which means I won't have to go get a downpipe.....

What do you think? think its worth it?

rs*r and invidia are not the same. go to RS-R.co.jp and rs-r.com to see. you wont see invidia ANYWHERE on either site.

at least thats how it is now..dont know about the past. my RS*R exhaust says Invidia on top RS*R and i got it from RS*R. so...hard to say what's the deal now. new RS*R exhausts are ONLY RS*R..no invidia...go figure

isay buy the exhaust. you wont be disappointed.

RSR originally designed Invidia. Now Invidia is on their own and has licensed from RSR their exhaust designs for the American Market. You will see Invidia exhaust availible soon .
thats all I can say at this time. ;)

i kinda wondered about that... before i bought mine i did some research. in HyperRev vol 8 (180sx/Silvia) in the exhausts section, rs*r & Invidia are listed separately. then in vol 19 (Silvia/s13&14), Invidia is listed as an rs*r. funny thing is mine looks like the Invidia when it wasn't listed as an rs*r, go figure...? it's has Invidia stamped on the exhaust tip, rs*r on the resonator, and a small sticker that said rs*r Invidia... i have an exhaust w/ an identity crisis :p

RSR makes good exhausts but not too many people have them, even in Japan.

Theres nothing "special" about them but if you can get it for a good price, then go for it. Also, you don't have to put in the test pipe, you can just bolt up your cat to it.

Also, I'm assuming this is for an S13 right, like your car? Make sure it's the right downpipe also for you car.
