i would be scared to have a muscle domestic dude working on my car let alone anyone that i don't know......if it is something you don't have the ability to maintain just get rid of it or take it to somewhere (probably far) that knows SR's to get it running (well)

i'm sure anyone that knows how to set the timing on an engine could set the timing on a 240. It's not that hard, why did you get this type of car if you knew nothing about it?

how far are you from augsta or alpharetta? I am sure the SR knowledgeable people on here can help you get your car running, as long as you are willing to dedicate time to it.

IMO the SR is no different then any other car project. If you arent willing to dedicate the time and money (gone be a small grip of that) then you should sell the SR and go KA that way you can have a 240 and not have to worry about all the stuff involving and SR.

If however you are serious about owning a reliable SR powered 240 then go to the tech section start reading more, and pm people who own SR's on here about things you dont understand,

yes you will run into assholes, but there are alot of people on here who would help you as long as you wanted to be helped.

I'm buying you a beer. We need to implement some kind of anti-ebonics software in here. I read that first post three times and all I got out of it was he owns a 240SX. People who type that like are clearly not looking for help if they can't even bother to spell.

Or they're just absolute fucking retards.

^thanks, till we get that installed I will just translate for the masses

using the edit button is better than double posting and no i dont own an SR and I am not knowledgeable in the area. Only thing I can help you with is pointing you to some SR threads if you havent already found them If i did I would help though

here are some threads that may help you

The ka24 is no different in tuning than an sr20 if you think about it. An engine is an engine regardless, and there for the most part wont be specialists all around to help you in a pinch when you want to buy a "bandwagon" car which 240's and honda's and evos are. That's not the point!

You will experience issues like timing, bad gaskets and seals with any engine. It's having the resources and the will to maintain an engine like that.

If you're going to get a pet start with a fish instead of a lion. If you cant take care of a fish, there is a pretty big chance you cant handle a fucking lion!

i really don't know how you typed like that. it's harder to use the letter "n" than to use the word "and"

did you somehow connect your cell phone keypad to your computer, and type like you're text messaging?

but some advice,

sure we all have gotten discouraged when shit doesn't work.

but then you man up and get the right tools or find the right way to do something, it's rewarding in the end.

just stop being a dickhead SNIP and search for "sr20 timing" or some shit and you'll figure it out. the SR20 is the most whored out engine on the internet.

Wrong attitude. No one on here is a '240sxer'. That's not even a word, asshole. Some of us own 240SXs, some drive them, some work on them. But no one is here to hold your hand. NO ONE. And no one has any obligations to do a fucking thing for you, period, nor anyone else on this forum. I answer questions to help intelligent, well read, enthusiasts who have proven their worth and can discuss things like adults, not 20yr old fucktrolls who type like like a 1st grader with down syndrome. The second you can prove your head is not in your ass and you can properly converse with people in a normal manner you'll get all the help you need from the more affluent members.
