u can fit some -20's for thee rears thats for sure. from 18x10-12's most ppl have stretched so they can pretty much slam the car but tis up to u!

It really depends on what type of over fender you get. You will find that your claimed +50mm wide fender might actually can be anywhere from +30 to +70 depending on the design of the fender, how you mount it, and how much of the inner lip you leave in.
Mine are the Origin type 2 50mm over fenders. But if i just put them on as they came, no way in hell i would be able to fit any low offset wheel due to the terrible design of the edge of the lip. (hence why i cut it out). If you have an origin type 1 or charge speed 50mm wide fender i would suggest:
x10 wheel with -25 offset
x11 wheel with -15 offset
x12 wheel with -5 offset
This will allow you to fine tune your tire clearance using small (5mm) spacers, tire width, camber etc.. to get it nice and close.

what???
im running 50mm/18x10.5+15 with a 265/35/18 its right there close to the fender. if u run such a aggressive offset u just said on a 50mm u gonna have to stretch the shit out of that tire.
my new set(not here yet) its 18x10-6 rears . im gonna have to remove the inner section of the fender . dont like to stretchy that much . specially making 440
suggest offset for 50mm anything from +15 down to -5 or 10 the most for a 10 wide wheel . if u like to stretch go lower

how is it that people with 50 rears run 18x10.5 +15 with 265 thats tight fit and some that have 18x12 +5 with 275 that are tight fit
ive avged out what i have seen and with a +40mm front fender with a 18x10 0 with a 245and 18x11 0 rear +50 with 255-265 works
can anyone confirm this fitment?

if its anything. im running an 18x9 +15 rear. sticks out about 15mm on a stock fender. have 50 chargespeeds. a 30mm spacer will make it pretty flush. 235/35/18

Like i said this all really depends on how you mount the fenders. Anybody here who is anal about wheel fitment would remove the inner lip on any wide fenders. Why? because that's another 1-4cm (mine was about 4cm ) that you simply cant use. The tire has to sit behind that lip or else it will rub when you lower it. I cant imagine why one would not cut he lip down for more clearance.

How in the hell is 18x10.5 +15 a tight fit when people are rocking this size wheel on stock S14 fenders. lol I have 18x10 +20 right now and have no problems at all. Just rolled fenders, NOT pulled.

I suppose we should also specify which platform we are talking about here too. S14 fitment is different than S13 fitment. Especially since the over fender designs for each chassis is completely different.
The hands down best way to find out what wheel size you need is just measure. throw some set of wheels on that you know its dimensions. Then measure and calculate to find what offset you need for a given width. Thats what i did with mine, and it is FLUSH.

I personaly have +40mm fronts with a 18x10 - 3 225/40/18 and 50mm rears with 18x12 -3 275/35/18.
My fronts were hella hard to get to turn lock to lock and require alot of hammering They also rub the fender alittle bit because im pretty low. The rears were cake though.

so this is where im confused how these sizes vary so much. I talked to a guy that had
18x10 +10 225/40 with 20mm front fenders that fit with no issues on 3.5 degrees of camber. if you add 20 mm to that wheel size for a 40mm fender, you should be able to fit a 18x10 -10 offset with no fitting issues, but yet you said it is really tight on a -3 ?
have you measured the knock offs? are they true 40mm?

Also, no one said anything about cutting the metal fenders themselves. Why else would you go wide fenders?

Like XRACER already stated, just cuz they said its a 50mm fender, does not mean thats all you can get out of it. When you install the fenders, you can push the bottom in, to bow out the fenders and give you more than 50mm. Thats why its alwasy a good idea to get your wheels/tires on the car first so you can make the fenders fit the wheel setup you have. You can look around and get an idea around here but ultimately, its gonna have to be up to you.
Its also a good idea to make sure you're alignment is good in the rear, specially make sure the camber is even on both sides. Last thing you wanna have is have a -5 and a -2 uneven camber when you try to put on the fenders. Shits gonna throw off your install.

Exactly.
Use threads like this to get an idea, sure, but eventually you're gonna have to:
1) get your camber set
2) cut your metal fenders/reweld if you care about the car
3) mount the widebody fenders and "pinch" the sides for more clearance, "press flat" for less. Would recommend spacers rather than pressing flat :)
I've actually never done a "real"/brand name rear overfender install, just used "generic" overfenders, which look like ass until you smooth them in... but they certainly teach you how to make them fit your desired wheels. I got 18x12 -10ish Veilside Andrews to fit under "50mm" overfenders when I used to work at a shop.

so basically 18x10.5-12 = 18x11 0 in relation to the fender clearance, how close it it?

As close as you want to install the fender... You should be able to make those work well though

Its a 6mm difference not 12mm. So 10.5 -12 is 11 -6. You have to take half of the measurement you are adding as it is added to both sides.
My setup as I PMd you is
18x11 -5 255/35, switching to 265s soon
I also have 18x10.5 -10.

yes, thank you. it helped a great deal.
i think 18x10 0 with 245/35 front and 18x11 0 275/35 rear is the way im going to go. if i need to put a small spacer for flushness thats better then having too big of a wheel made. thanks all.

Currently I'm trying to stuff 18x11 -16 works behind a 30mm. 245/40/18 tires and about -4/-4.5* camber.
I'll let you know how that works out, lol.

I hate to tell people that an 18x10.5 -12 will fit the same as a 18x11 -6 becuase they wont. You'll get alot more stretch with a 11j than 10.5j on a 265/35/18. Thus you'll have more fender clearance.
My car currently barely rubs with a 265/35/18 and I didnt pull or manipulate the overfender in anyway possible except I dremeled the inner lip out. It also depends on the tire some tires run a little bigger than others and that will affect how close you are to the fender once you get your stretch.
I personally feel that having a little more conservative wheel fitment gives me the adjustability that I am looking for and still have the awsome lipped look. with the 18x10.5 -12 I can run a 245/40 up to a 265/35 and still look flush with only 1.4 camber.
With some extra elbow grease you can fit 12j -10 if you want with a totally pulled fender and 255/35's stretched to hell and back but then your stuck with that setup, you can only run a bigger tire from there.
And not to mention weight my 10.5j VS-KFS weight 25lbs EACH! I have a little over 400whp in my 240 and its still hard to spin the wheels first gear.
but yeah.
