It would be the opposite of switching from Single to Double Over Head Cam.
What I would sooner suggest is seeing what you would need to boost your current DOHC, keeping what you will be able to use, selling the SOHC stuff and buying that stuff instead.
... just my opinion.

I agree wtih Phlip. Why go backwards? The dohc is stronger and 20whp more stock. For what it'll cost you to build and turbo the sohc motor you could have a killer dohc turbo motor. IMHO.

This is arguably the easiest swap you can do on a 240. Both sides of the swaps have OEM support. The hardest part will be trying to find an FSM for a KA24E, which I have in hardcopy.
The rest is just going the opposite way everybody else is going. If you get stuck there is the FSM and Zilvia tech.
There will be many things that need to be switched, like power steering lines, etc. The best bet would be finding a single cam guy who wants to go to twin cam, and you guys can trade parts.
Question: would it be cheaper to sell your car and buy a single cam car?
I recommend V8. Definitely V8.

heres the thing my DOHC has 179,000 its a 91 and then i bought a 90 with the SOHC for body parts and the engine only has 100k(frame is rediculously rusted but other than that perfect) since i have everything such as power steering lines AC i can just swap the whole harness i just dont wanna have to go through all of that if it is not necessary.

Mileage means nothing, period. You could open up both engines and find sludge for decades on the SOHC and nothing but shiny aluminum on the DOHC. You could also drop the SOHC in and find the oil pump is seized or the shaft is broken, or a bearing had scored before it was removed from oil starvation. If you drive the DOHC and know it's good it's stupid to pull it out, do the entire process of swapping everything, then drop in a engine you *hope* is as good, but could be total shit.
