Hi,
I think jspec.com has been around for a while, but i ordered a downpipe and sent a money order to them over a week ago (and im in same state)...and i understand they went to the tokyo auto salon, but they are back now, and still haven't responded to any of my emails since i sent payment. Does anyone have a contact number for them? thank you

He’ll get back to you, I’m sure your email is not the only one waiting a response.

dealt with him before... got Mugen wheels for my friend from him, and may end up getting my East Bear grill from him. From what I hear, Sam's a great guy, and he's usually pretty fast with e-mail.

Jspec rules it....give them some time to get settled in from Japan and they will get back to you. I have been highly pleased by the service I have gotten from them in the past

Yeah like everyone here says they are great. You probably chose a wrong time to get your stuff, since they were at their annual Auto Salon trip.

I've heard very good things about them. I've never heard a complaint. Be patient--the best things come to those who wait :)

i'm sure you'll get your stuff dude. but i wouldn't have delt with jspec first hand. i was wanting to buy a kouki type x spoiler from jspec, it was $320 shipped... after i emailed sam, it took a bit from him to respond, but i guess that could be from the hundreds of emails he gets. i have him on my aol list, and he was on-line one day, and i asked him a couple of questions about some stuff he could get me. he didn't even want to bother. he told me that his market is out for 22-30 year olds... basiclly hes out for people who have good paying jobs' money. i hate to sound all bad about him and stuff... hes just not a person to be in business. he told me, packaging a silvia s13 conversion for about three hours wasn't worth the $100 profit. isn't that strange? i work about 5 hours for $25. i've found my direct japanese hook-up, and his shop will be up next month. since i'm a 240 nut like he is, hes going to stock alot of jdm 240 stuff... so i won't have to worry about people's business online... as for having a site for the shop... i dunno. but i'll get quotes for all of you guys' jdm needs/wants. be good. (i'm not trying to stop business for jspec... he just didn't want to sale me anything.)

First off, I want to say I'm not trying to be a prick either, just throwing down some facts.
I believe you asked for more than a price quote.
Sam has to deal with hundreds of people like you. In the end it is very frustrating. So he rather be straight forward about it.
He's not out to try to sell you stuff and drain your paycheckor put you severely in debt. At $5 and hour, how long does that take to get a $2000 body kit? 400 hours. Did you have the money already? It's a business he's out to make money. That is the whole point. That, my friend is what business is all about. MONEY.
He didn't open the business tailoring to kids who has no money and just dream about it. He has to make a living too
Sam was just telling you the truth. He's not just out to sell people things. Thats why there is lot of people who swear by him, hence me.
I believe on the website he has already mentioned he does not want to sell s13 silvia conversions. It is not worth it to him, when other places have such items in stock and can sell to you for cheaper (try Mckinney motorsports).
I've been buying stuff from him since I was 17. I'm 19 now. I don't make that much more than you do. Still, I pretty much swear by Jspec because Sam is honest. It's a small business and has very limited amount of time. I know Sam personally, and I do see the **** he has to put up with. I'll go to sam when I have the money, otherwise I try not to waste his time.
I will back Jspec 100%.
If your hookup is going to get into the same field, soon enough he/she will realize its not that easy.. Its difficult and frustrating.
If you do need help finding sources for the parts you need and have the money for it, I can help you out.
