Does anyone have any info on where to find a CA18DET clutch?

2 ideas:
1.) get the part #s, and try to special order them from the Dealer.
2.) see if utilizing the FWD CA18 clutch would work. I know SR owners can use a Maxima clutch.
i heard the ka24 clutch fits.. not sure though.. anyone know for sure 'cause i need a clutch too! :)

you can use an SR clutch if you use an SR flywheel too. that's what i'll prolly do.

I know about the SR change over, but that's more on the expensive side. Getting an SR flywheel, then getting an SR clutch. I'd prefer to find some one or some place that has or can get CA clutches. I know that the core for a KA mission will work in a CA mission, but I don't know if the KA clutch will bolt up and match up. I know the bell housings on the missions don't match up either. I recently learned about the transmissions but the clutches? That is where I am now. Mine is starting to slip and going back to Japan anytime soon, isn't going to be happening. So, I'm looking for either a local source or an alternative that will work. I hate to vent, it's irritating and bothersome but I hear a lot of guesses and I hate to put a lot of money into a guess. I have a Z32 fuel pump right now that's sitting because of a guess. If anyone needs one of those, shoot me a message.

Are you in the U.S.? I really wanna learn where I can find places to get parts for the CA. I want to be able to keep it as original as possible. Trying to stay true to what it is and should be... Right now, I'm using a KA mission core and I can't wait to get my old core rebuilt. The ratio difference is killing me. I lost torque with this one. I miss the grunt and the kick the car had when I was back in Japan. The CA mission and a LSD. As far as the Z32 pump, I'm only looking to get back half of what I paid for it. I bought it new from the dealership. It was installed and because of another problem, it was believed that it didn't work, so I pulled it and bought another Walbro. So, it's good but not being used. I have the pump and the filter to go with it.

The KA and CA18DET have the same transmission ratios except for 5th (CA 0.838:1, KA and SR 0.759:1). It's the final drive that's different... Getting the CA final drive alone (CA 4.363:1 vs. KA and SR 4.083) will solve your problem.

What kind of setup are you running with? I know that a stock drivleline, CA or SR is only good to 400. Any dragging after that and things start to shatter. If and when I can get my pieces all put back together again, I'm not sure where I'll be sitting. I do plan to go with a cross-mission when things are put back together again but until I get the bugs worked out I'll be running around just better than stock.

The prices I've found out for the gears themselves, not including the rest of the parts needed, is around $1,300. I'm still putting together the parts list but that's what I've found out.
