Just like the title says, after a good long run the Soarer will be retiring. It was awesome while it lasted and new project sounds even cooler!:2f2f:

That sucks, that car's probably one of the more unique and well known drift cars in the world. Idk about using a 335i as it's replacement, seems kinda weird.

I heard the new car is gonna be monstrous....

I hope he doesnt try to enter Formula D....It will be another SA Drift fiasco...

vertex probably chose the 3 series for the marketing. like it says in the text, "It will expose T&E and the Vertex brand to a whole new demographic and bring freshness to the sport of drifting”

basically, they are trying to sell/market vertex products to bmw owners.

they explained why, it's all for marketing and to target new demographics. Vertex is pretty much doing the right thing from a business perspective, they are trying to make more money and to me it sounds like a great idea, assuming bmw owners catch on.

I love Ueno-san, he has cool style and his cars are classy.
His new auto should be done within the same tasteful way.

i wonder what their BMW aero will look like....

pretty much all their other aero became the base for knockoff when it debuted.

...i also wonder what the D1 car will look like...

the beamer they're putting together looks killah. vertex soarer is one of the most recognizable d1 car for sure so it's sad that it's retiring.

have you looked at the aero they make for euros it is badass. just another niche he is getting into since the crowd is getting older. switching from cheaper cars to more classier, luxury inspired cars. BTW he has like 7 soarers. He is retiring his primary one. he still has 2-3 that are here stateside. 2 in street form, the other in competition form just doesn't have sequential like his main vehicle.

Mmmm, E92. I love it. I wonder why the 2J over the stock twin turbo powerplant. Probably parts support and background knowledge.

Drifting BMW's don't do anything for me. They just look, too tall or something, I don't know.

Anybody else think we should start a petition to Vertex? Ask them to make sure they get all the patents and stuff straightened out. That way when the BMW hits the Drift scene we won't have to see every crappy knock-off company with the new "V-Style BMW Kit".

That sounds like a good idea.
I like it a lot.

send them a link to uspto.gov

That will tell you a majority of information of "how to" regarding intellectual property (ie. obtaining patents)
