well i just changed my intake gasket and my rpm was fine but i drove it for a while and then the rpm started to drop below 1000.. it comes close to 500.. and now i dont know what the problem..
any help? and it only does it in neutral..

its normal why were you up at 100rpm's befor any way????? and what engine are we talking about? What year car is it? any modifications? need some info

if your car does something funny after you change something... check the thing you changed.

I would first start off checking for vacuum leaks. Open your hood while its running and listen to hear if you notice any exessive whining noises that could be caused from a vacuum leak. After that I would double check the intake gasket thinking that it could have torn while being installed. Do you notice any difference in power or smoothness of the engine as you are driving?
