Hello all. I've been trying to figure out this problem ALL DAY long. haha. Figured I would try here and see if you guys can help me.

So...I just installed my RB20 into my S13, wired everything up, and tried to start it. All it does is crank over. over and over and over. haha. So, I got starter fluid, and sprayed that stuff in there. Started up with no problem (with a little help from the throttle). After a shaky start, the car will idle just fine.

Another problem I am having is that I have a Nismo FPR. When I try to adjust the pressure to 37psi, the pump goes crazy!!! I have an inline gauge to measure the pressure and when I try to adjust the pressure past 25psi the pump starts pulsating. It goes from like 20psi to 60psi and back. Over and over again, but is fine once the pressure goes below 25ish. Could it be that I have a bad FPR? Would this affect my car not starting on its own?

(Pump is a walbro 255)

Thanks for the help...:o :D

What fuel pump are you running?

Also try changing all fluids and filters.

Pump is a Walbro 255.

All fluids are brand new. I even siphoned the gas out from the tank and put new 91 in.

Fuel pump filter is new. Fuel line is new. Fuel filter is new...

are your fuel lines hooked up backwards?

this wouldnt really make sense though if ur seeing pressure

No, the lines are hooked up correctly.

The car runs...it wouldn't run if they were hooked up incorrectly.

It just doesn't start on its own.

are you getting injector pulse while cranking?
check that first if it takes starting fluid to start her up

wow .. thats a weird fuel problem .. i have no idea , only thing that comes into my head would be a faulty fpr but at the same time its a new nismo fpr right ?

starter problem, i've heard of that happening. buddy of mine was able to turn the motor over and it just wouldnt start.
all he did was get a new starter and it fixed his problem.
