Ok, I just got these side steps yesterday and they need to be painted. IT already has one layer of primer but not really sanded down too well.
The materials I have already are primer, paint, finish, sand paper (400 and 600 grade), and cloth to wipe.
Now, my plan right now is to sand it down with 400 then 600 sandpaper, primer it again and sand paper with 400 then 600. Then put on 3 coats of paint and then finally 2 coats of clear finish.
Does that sound alright? Oh, and what does it mean to wetsand? The primer bottle says I should wetsand. Does that mean use a bit of water when sanding?
Any help, ideas, suggestions would be great. Thanks.
