Hi
i just installed my deck in my S14...first off...the stock antenna plug is really weird on the s14 (two prong?)...how do u guys get around this to plug it into a single plug like usual. also...i hooked up the deck as usual with the harness like any normal deck install, but when i was putting back the console while screwing in the screw, it sparked (grounding problem?)...what can i do about this? thx

You have to buy a converter for your antenna. Check to make sure you didn't leave any wires exposed, and connect your ground to the back bracket. Did you use connectors or electrical tape?

i used connectors, actually i figured it out, the antenna is the ground...it completes the circuit so that the radio can function..WHY does nissan have to have a diff plug hehe...anyhow yea i gotta go find one at a local store.

If you left the antenna unplugged, that's your problem. It's part of the ground circuit.

It's not just Nissan.. All GM vehicles require an antenna adapter too.

I've heard a rumor that you can just take off your antenna and ground the wires, making your entire car an antenna. would this work?
