So i here i sit with a 91 240sx that i believe i pick up for dirt cheap...put some new interior parts in a better hatch gotta do some paint but all the pretty stuff is on hold.
have a sr20det red top about 15miles from me with full 3in 0BX exhaust and guy is even willing to do the install with me everything i need for the price of 2500.
i like to be different done a little surfing and googling...on a scale of 1-10 VQ35DE in my 240 or lS1 it will be either or... sr is too common for me...i have seen a 55 yr old woman driving one...not my style. not bashing anybody with sr's great motors had a sentra with sr turblow. but i wanna stand out...anybody know what i am getting myself into price range?

sounds like he's asking how much the VQ swap will be and what he will be getting into with the install of that motor. I think.

well you came to the right place to get roasted. Doing something just to be different is stupid. If you got your car for cheap and it already has an sr20 in it, why fuck with it. Why not try to push the limits of what you have. IDK, seems you're in the mindset of every other young x-honda dude that comes here ready to go into credit debt and wants to be different for reasons they can't really explain.
Also, every thing you mention has been done in spades too. I'd say go viper v10 if you want to really be different.
Why do you need so much power? Have you actually driven a 350whp s13 before? This thread jimmyUP's.

We have a ton of threads here that will help. Try searching VQ35DE swap, and check out the stickied V8 swap FAQ.
Expect to spend double or triple the $$$ on a VQ or LSx swap as you would for an SR. Then remember that if you wanted, you could sell the SR after you "outgrew" (read: saved $ for another swap) it.

If you are doing it just to be different then don't ask about cost. If you can't afford the headaches and costs of being a pioneer on a particular swap then don't do it. Most shops and people who do crazy swaps do it as a way to advertise their skills at fabrication. The rest of the people...well they got the money to burn on a expensive swap for the sake of being different. Which of those are you?

it has the stock ka motor in it the sr is just availabe close to me...and i am kind of a show off so being different is what i like...
and to the puncutation thing...fuck off :) its an online forum not a college term paper find another way to be a douche plz.
the vq is what i want to put into my sentra...definately not an x-honda guy never owned one and never will unless its a motorcycle. Family friend owns a machine shop that i have full access to whenever i want it to ease on the fabbing costs. I have driven a 300hp s13 and it was a blast, but i want more. So if you fault me for wanting more power then...well your gay. Also i won't be going into debt on the swap that is stupid i will pay for everything out right, just trying to gauge down time and approximate cost just so i know if it will be worth it. Or if it would be better to go another route such as rb or something along those lines.

Seen so many people ask about these sweet swaps then drop off the face of the earth. Not saying that's you, but it gets old reading the "same" post from a different person day after day. If you want to do it, do it, but asking people's opinions on what to do simply shows you're unsure about what you really want.
P.S. Learn to write. Someone calling out your grammar and then you getting on them about how decent writing is not necessary on a forum makes you look like a serious douche canoe.

If I was really concerned about my writing i could post up something that would be flawless. If that suits your fancy and makes everybody's world go round well then its whatever. Im just here collecting information from people who obviously know more about my s13 than I do. Such as what has worked what hasn't worked, so on and so forth. I had my turbo B15 and as soon as i put a built motor into my sentra and boosted it up past 15 traction went out the door and there wasn't a whole lot i could do for it.

I have had enough of this poorly-formed, impossible-to-care-about shit.

I tried to break it down into paragraphs. But it's not you punctuation. Your grammar is horrible. Your lack of sentence structure astounds me. Do you talk to people the way you type?
If you want information from us. At least show us the respect to type properly.
