Hey guys! I'm having trouble and I'm hoping somebody can help.
I have an s13 with a black top sr. Motor is in the car and, if jumped, the car starts and stays running. But the idle is HORRIBLE. I won't dare drive the car anywhere since it cant hold a stable idle and it pulls a littel bit but nowhere near what I was expecting.
What it needs immediately
Timing checked and adjusted
TPS checked and adjusted
Double check piping for possible vacuum leaks.
I'm not sure if fixing the 2-3 things listed above will fix the idle problem but it def needs it so it's a start. I understand that performing those two adjustments is not terribly difficult, I've researched how-to's and all that so I know they are not hard to do, but I'd feel a bit more comfortable with somebody else there with more experience to "hold my hand" as I don't feel 100% about jumping in and fiddling with my motor myself.
I'm not sure which shops are in the area that can troubleshoot. I won't trust just any garage with my car. I'm looking for a local shop that I can tow my car to to have it fixed and running OR if there are any individuals out there that are mechanically inclined that would be willing to swing by and take a look at it and maybe do the adjustments I'd be willing to pay your for your time/get you liquored up (after working on car of course lol) buy you lunch. Pretty much anything short of performing sexual favors... I'm in Manassas VA.
TIA guys!
