My 2002 WRX is back up for sale. This is a really fun and FAST car to drive plus can hold a ton of stuff with the seats folded down. I was able to carry a lot of my band equipment inside of here.
The car body has roughly 116k miles on it but there's a semi-built 04 Subaru STi block that has been mated up to the WRX head with mild headwork. Mated up to this engine is an ERZ 3" catback exhaust which gives it a MEAN boxer rumble. I have all the receipts for the $3500 in engine work that was done to it!
The Good:
Built EJ25 short block bored out
JE Oversized forged pistons
EJ20 Head with a 3-angle valve job
New timing belt
Aftermarket amp and speakers (GREAT SOUND!)
ERZ 3" Catback exhaust
There are a few things wrong with it:
-the turbo has a bad wastegate and only maxes out at 6-8psi. This will be replaced in the near future or I can include a used stock turbo for free.
-the front passenger side window doesn't roll all the way down. The window was broken and when I had a new one placed in there is a small 1" piece that still sticks up
-small nicks and scratches on the rear bumper
-My secondary heat gauge doesn't work. Not the one in the cluster, but an aftermarket on in a dash mounted pod.
All of this can be negotiated with. In addition to the built engine, there is also a generic amp (came with the car) that is a HUGE improvement over the standard factory sound.
I'm selling because I'm working a job where I have a company car and I don't want to keep this around anymore for a weekend/project car. Considering the motor work that has been done, this baby is priced to sell!!
