i have a red top sr20det swapped in a s13
the motor is pretty much stock except for a walbro 225 and fmic

kinda wierd question but im just wondering?
its just not running good
its fuel cutting and bogging out if i get on it or try and rev it past 3k
and its running super rich

already checked the MAF

Does the pope shit in the woods?

Check coolant temp sensor. There should be two. The two wire sensor on the left is the one you want.

ive gone to safe mode on my sr20det s14......basically wont rev past like 3k......all you gotta do for me is turn off the car and return it off.....but i usually let it cool down and sit for 10 minutes.

since you are running rich how are you using for fuel management?

and what else are your mods

stock injectors? 370cc?
stock maf?

everyone says stock sr20....but theres diff definitions for it.

Sounds like classic MAF wiring to me....:naw:

yea, stock injectors, stock regulator, stock MAF

and no its not the maf wiring, ive checked that like 3 times
and even if the wiring was messed up the car wouldnt run at all

Check your IC pipes. Are you sure one of them didn't just pop off? Because that will cause exactly the problems you're having. Black smoke, too?

its not that because sometimes if i get it past 3 grand in 1st gear and get on it, it will get full boost and pull all the way, but then when i shift into second it bogs out and get nasty fuel cut

but yea black smoke and lots of backfiring

Could be lots of things.

Does this happen intermittently or all the time?

Check timing yet?

oh i kno

pretty much all the time

yea checked the timing, the motor is stock and the timing was never messed with anyways

STEP 1: Check codes - if you haven't already.

The shit thing about bogging issues is that it's due to something fucking your air/fuel ratio, which, unfortunately, means it could be a lot of different things.

I've had similiar problems with my s13 and my roomates b13 bluebird swap. I'd guess temp sensor like stated above or your o2 sensor. good luck with figuring it out. also check all your intercooler couplers. one could have a small tear.
