sorry to bother everyone but i swapped out my cracked dash for a fresh uncracked one and plugged everything back in like you normally would. and then i start my car and my gauge cluster wont work. i plugged and unplugged the cluster to see if it was loose or i didnt plug it in all the way but that wasnt it. the fuse isnt blown. im sure its not the harness cause my gas meter moved all the way past full wyhen i turned on my car the first time and my gas light turned on so its plugged in right. right?

could it be something with the ECU? i checked it and it shouldnt be cause i didnt even touch it. i checked the yellow wire with red stripe and it was still spliced right for the SOHC to SR swap.

any ideas? someone help pleassee.

sounds like you plugged it in wrong. if I remember correctly two of the plugs are really similar. switch around and check it out before putting everything back together to make sure it's working.

haha how can you do that one is black one is white and same goes for the ones on the guage cluster harness but i guess it could happen. most likely it may have a lose ground. check the back and see if everything is in its place it is all labeled.

also how did u crack ur guage cluster? if its the clear screen that comes right off and can be replaced.:snoop:

S13 Cluster have three plugs that connect to them. Two of them are the same. It can easily happen.

To the OP, just try switching the plugs. You might have just plugged it in wrong.

The plugs are NOT the same. They're nearly identical but are tabbed one way and cannot be swapped unless you forced the shit out of it.
