Im having a reving problem after my five speed swap.

My car limits me under 4k. It cuts the fuel and bogs down. I think it might be related to this posting( http://zilvia.net/f/tech-talk/174903-cannot-rev-past-5k-rpm.html ) Read the number 5 posting and on. I believe I have the wrong speed sensor for my tach. My speedo is not working for one thing, and my 5th and neutral switch are not wired in to add to it.

I was told that I did not need to wire in those two switches in order to run the car. Does anyone know if that holds water for certain ?

Because before my five speed swap my sr was an auto(ha-ha... I know, it was cheap) and did not have any issue reving. It would go all the way to 7k with no prob.

So can anyone help me out ? And please dont tell me its the maf. I have read enough other postings on this issue to rule out the maf.

All the tech threads and write ups that I read said you can use the auto ecu on a s13 5 speed swap.

So im still using the auto ecu. Does anyone know 100% whether or not you can use a auto ecu on a manual s13 blacktop ?

yes you can, My S13 SR redtop was using a automatic ecu at first, then crapped out on me then I got a manual one and it work the same as the auto one. I also had a KA24DE that was auto before i did my swap on my 240. I did the manual swap and i used the auto ecu and had no issues except for the cold start thing but I fixed that with the manual ecu no problems after that. With all of that in mind I had no Idle or rev issues, make sure all of your vacuum lines are connected and fuel lines as well. check FPR and injectors make sure there is nothing restricting the airflow from the MAF and fuel from FPR and injectors. If you want some real help go to www.heavythrottle.com (http://www.heavythrottle.com) and email those guys they are the SR masters, they helped me numerous times with my SR just let them know in detail what is going on they would be happy if you emailed them or if you called.

No check engine lights and everything else is normal.

I thought that s13's were before obd1.

Where do you plug in a scanner to a s13 ?

S13's are OBD1, OBD2 didnt happen till 1996 and up. Alot of your questions can be easily found in a FSM(Factory Service Manual) Im not sure if it would work depending on how you did your wiring.
