I do weekend Autox, so lightweight is my priority. I'm finishing up my suspension, so it is time for a little mild power gain. I'm currently running full stock KA24DE, looking for mild header, exhaust power gain, possible ones that are candiates for future turbo setups on the KA.
I'm not a fan of crazzily loud and big exhaust although I know turbo might require big 3~4" pipes and it is going to be loud. I'm looking for good exhaust tone but not too loud and too big. (Love the sound that 350z makes)
1) JIC Majic Bullet Full Titanium 505TI ($900): It is my top choice due to its lightweight, but I have not yet hear how it sounds.
2) Invidia G200 ($600): It also has nice aggresive burnt titanium tip :) and heard good things about it, again never hear how it sounds. -1 on stainless steel might be heavier
3) Kakimoto Racing REGU 06 & R ($650): Rare, aggressive burnt tip, good sound (from youtube). -1 on stainless steel might be heavier
4) Power House Amuse R1 Titan ($1500): Heard it from local autox S14 KA, Amazing sound!! Lightweight Titanium, Rare, aggressive burnt tip. -2 too expensive if changing exhaust for future Turbo KA
5) Fujitsubo Power Getter ($800): Heard it is good, nice burnt tip, but never heard how it sounds, giving myself another option. -1 on stainless steel might be heavier
Hope you guys can enlight me with some of your experiences and advices for me. I try not to go with common brands for 240sx, like Apex, Greddy, HKS, etc. No offense, I know they are good exhaust, but I try to get something different.
new options:
Greddy Racing Titanium ($860): 11lb, full titanium, cheapert ti exhaust, but not digging the sound
Thanks for reading.

trying to be different? well everyone tries to be original but fact of the matter is, all these exhausts have been done before.
i would suggest go with a greddy/trust exhaust, they are pretty quiet. but since you want something light then you would have to go titanium.
might want to re-think about the prices tho. if your gonna spend that much on an exhaust that would probably save you like 20 lbs. i would just go with a stainless steel exhaust. (anyone of the named companies above) and spend some money on getting a lighter hood.

Megan type2? full 3" catback super low tone and oem look with the double pipe and even powder coated black.

You can sorta see it if you look closely, right now I added 2 pipe to extend the muffler out from my kit and looks even more aggressive. This exhaust looks great on oem bumper. Hope this helps!

Thanks guys for the input. I understand Ti exhaust could be exhaust for saving around 30lbs, but I think I'm going to like it for a long run. Especially the sound Ti could be more attractive, although I couldn't find any KA has it except the s14 i met in autox. For around $300 on top of $600 SS exhaust, I think it is good for a long run?
Anyone has experience on full titanium exhaust?

you also need to realize what makes a Z33 sound like that, is the engine itself.

Yes, Z33's large displacement engine really makes a good noise. But i heard good noise from our KA24DE too, the amuse exhaust. Though it is not as big as those 3.0L engine, it is not as small as those 1.8L which most makes canoyn rocket noise. I also heard good noise from miatas with straight pipes :D
And yea, custom, I know one that costs around $500 for full stainless steel. That would costs roughly the same on many aftermarket ones.
I know the best part of custom exhaust is that able to prevent scraping by customize the height. I'm not looking for huge hp gain on the exhaust right now, what else can I expect from a custom exhaust?

all in all, do what you want to do. i personally wouldnt spend 1000 for an exhaust.. i think thats dumb :P its just metal(doesnt mean manifolds and etc isnt important) but its just an exhaust. you keep talking about making it light. again. i dont think that extra 15 pounds is going to help you drive better.

i say get a blitz nur spec r
pretty badd ass i must say.
sounds good on my friends stock KA
and i think its $500-$600
idk

i would never put a $1500 dollar exhaust on a ka unless it was turbo. I think $1500 for 4 hp is a little meh. also if you are planing on having your car low and run a titainium exhaust when you bottom out you might scrap a hole into the exhaust. they are light because the metal is much thiner.

The point of a titanium exhaust is not hp, it is weight. If the exhaust is going on an actual autocross car, not a "theoretical" autocross car, then going low is not (and never will be) a priority.
Now, for the OP. A titanium exhaust would be sick, but the price is really insane. I vote for a buddy club spec2, just keep the silencer in for street use. I run one on my N/A kade powered s-13 fastback and I LOVE it. It is definitely the lightest steel exhaust you can get, i'm pretty certain under 20lbs for a full catback system. With the silencer in it sounds pretty ghey, but un-corked it sounds nuts. Raspy, DEEP, and loud as fuck. I really think you are a bit misguided worrying about how the exhaust sounds though. If you really want your car to be an autocross/track car the sound should be a VERY distant second to the weight aspect. I personally think a 2.5" would be better as long as your KA is stock and n/a, but once you build the motor or boost it 3" is what you want. As long as you get a 3" to start with you will not have to worry about changing it when you go turbo. You will not lose performance with a 3" on a stock motor when compared to stock either, it will just not be as sharp as it could be with a 2.5". The 3" does do well at high rpm's though on a stock motor.

i go to SCCA autoX, i only see 3 S14 including myself.
I wouldn't do 1500 exhaust on a KA too, that's why i'm preping it for future FI. I'm leaning toward, if not Ti, it would custom, though I like Kakimoto very much.

hell if you have the money and want to spend it get a TI do it, but it really comes down to personal preference on which one you like the looks of more or is lighter, sounds better etc.......just get whatever the hell you want and quit asking other people what you should get cause everyone will always say something different

"Anyone has experience on full titanium exhaust?"
This is all I had asked, am I saying it not clear or nice enough for you? It would be quite a thing if you could be an example of just get the hell you want and not ask at all, rite?

Get custom. On my BMW, Im having a shop weld me up a dual 2.25 inch (the stock exhaust is dual, with 2 mani's.... On an inline engine. I know its weird.) with no resonators, a flowmaster 40 series muffler, and 2 resonators to look like cats.
I am officially against catalytic converters of any kind, because it takes more exhaust to produce 1 cat than that cat will ever prevent on a car. Thats why alot of countries dont use them.
anyhow, its only going to be like 600 all and all. A premade one is about 900, depending on the brand.
Basically, save some money, get custom.

thanks racepar1, I have read about your old posts, and always found them helpful. Thanks for chimping in for help as well as other members!
Sometimes it is a good idea to follow the crowd and do exactly what others do, it would make questions much easier to solve. But imagine one day you see a nice prep'd s13/s14 parked on the street, and you get to know the exhaust he or she uses is full titanium. I bet your impression would be a whole lot different. I don't mean to get that moment of showing off what you have, but people should get the impression that many people out there do things very differently than what some people do.

Trust me I would LOVE to have a titanium exhaust and I am in no way telling you not to get one. It pisses me off that greddy/trust doesn't make their full titanium racing exhaust for the s-13 because I can get a DEEP discount on greddy products through my buddy. On a budget the spec2 is the best you can do weight wise, that is the only point of reccomending that particular exhaust.

love JIC my cousin has it on his coupe hopeing to switch to this in the future currently running hks hi-power muffler
What about GReddy Ti-C? Very quiet with the silencer. The stock KA24DE starts to scream once it passes 3,000 rpm without the silencer. The piping is ~2.7ish inch. It hangs alittle low but, weight is MUCH lighter than Apexi NOIR.

One thing people forget is that Titanium is a stronger metal, which is why they are able to run thinner than steel to achieve the same strength level as steel but with less mass.
