I was just watching a clip of the reveiling of the Lancer Evo 8 at the LA Auto show. I think mistubishi has made a really great move by finally introducing the Evos to the US. However I am really displeased with Nissan with the exception of the 350z. Nissan really should have brought the Silvias and Skylines to the US, but no, instead of doing that they DISCONTINUE them... No the G35 is not a skyline its a mockery of the the Skyline heritage. As for Toyota and Mazda with the dissapearence of the Supra the supreme beauty of that vehicle has gone my respect for that company as well... they offer no sustitute in its replacement... The RX8 may be a well built vehicle but one cant ignore that the power plant is a NA rotary... i dont need to say more... I hope they develope a good aftermarket for that car... quite frankly im pissed with alot of CEOs. Those of you who say what about
Honda well Honda still has the over priced NSX.

You shouldn't think to much, you might hurt yourself.

I agree, you complain about the lack of a turbo on the new RX-8, but you CAN'T ignore the fact that they got the SAME 250 horses without it and skipping on the turbo means they skipped on the thing that caused mazda to lose their ass in the first place in the states...

Nissan discontinued the 240SX in the states because it wasn't making money off of it. Same with Toyota and the Supra, and Mazda with the RX-7. As for Honda, yes the NSX is expensive, but the S2000 and the Prelude are still kickass and affordable. You have to look at it from an economical standpoint. They are trying to maximize profits, if something is preventing this from happening, they will cut off that portion of thier sales. Nissan Silvias sell like hotcakes in other countries. ie Japan, Australia, and other asian nations, but they never substantionally impacted the US market. I know if I had the money back then, I probably wouldn't have bought my car new for $25K.

Thats for DAMN sure.. 240 sales sucked, because there were tons of other cars in it's class that were faster, and more capable out of the box.

False. Discontinued because it couldnt pass smog. If they werent making money off of it than why are they brining it back in 2005? As for Honda, yes the NSX is expensive, but the S2000 and the Prelude are still kickass and affordable.

Hey, just look at the bright side, you'll get more people admiring your car if they cant get one. Sure, I wan't a new 240sx just as bad as anyone. It won't happen. I have an 89' and now thanks to SCC magazine, everyone wants it. As for the other cars out there, I think the 350z will be too common to be cool within two years.
I dont really care about the other brands, I don't own their products.
