Im trying to take my radiator hoses off, the upper one first. The engine side is refusing to budge, any suggestions?

twist and pull side to side. if your going to replace for new ones then just cut the hose.
watch out for when it slips, i hate busting my knuckles.

grab a pair of big channel locks...adjust them to where you can grab the hose and twist it, then pull it off...

Word. Ive been doing it for about 5 minutes. Trying to be gentle though. But like punk says I guess I can just cut it.

Use wd-40 and use grease when putting them back on.

What kind of grease? Some are corrosive.

I use wheel bearing grease. Has never failed me once.

I second the WD40 to get the hoses off. Works wonders.

Really though, I used large vice grips to twist them off.

I use my muscle and brawn.
But needlenoses are your best friend. They can cut, screw, scrape, peel, pry, slice, dice, and marinade all in 1,2,3!
Lol. Sorry. I watch alot of infomercials. One of the downsides of being an insomniac.

Patience. When I pulled the rad hoses off my KA I twisted and rotated to sort of break in the stiff rubber, then more up and down to make some space. Eventually some serious pulling got them off. Just gotta keep workin' them. I think I may have sprayed some lube on those as well.

Lol. Bow chika wow wow.
Anyhow, WD40, flat head, cigarettes, and a 6 pack of cool Bud Light.
You'll be fine. Be careful. And wiggling does work better than pulling when it comes to rubber.

Pliers, twist, pull, cuss out loud, then smile at a job well done.
Cutting the hose is the best option though.

I ended up cutting them. But I know what to do if I plan to reuse hoses I remove.

use a razor blade to cut a small slit then peel it off

Pinch the hose and wiggle it back and forth while pulling. Like you're walking it off.

Like I said, I tried that for a while and it didn't budge one bit. Every other hose Ive tried to remove was easy.

I think this is the 3rd or 4th post I've made so far, today, where I've told people to stop posting irrelevant posts because they haven't read the thread.

grab a pair of big channel locks...adjust them to where you can grab the hose and twist it, then pull it off...
Careful with that, the end tanks are plastic on the oem rads.
