Wussup zilvians, i had a quik question just to get a lil feedback. When building a rb26dett which would be better setup for an approx hp range of 625whp, while still havin a good spool up time. (e.g. twin gt2876r vs gt40r) Oh and don't include money being a reason to rule one out.

But if you want my opinion, I would say single.

Twin turbos are good for spool. For an I6, with 625 HP, you'd almost have to go with a single, which would take longer to spool.

Smaller turbos=quick spool, less power
Larger turbos=slower spool, more power

If its a DD...ish car, I'd go for 450ish hp, and stick with 2 medium sized twins. If its a weekend warrior, single.

If you are asking these type questions, you prolly should not even own a modded rb.

Chillax bro. Its just a question. There are no stupid questions, just ignorant people. And ignorance is bliss. So asking questions is bad? Wait that doesnt sound right.

But to the OP, yeah search google, or here, wherever, to save Zilvia bandwidth. There's alot of info out there, you just gotta look.

single turbo over twin all day long if you are looking for power if you want a good spool time, still go sinlge turbo just find the appropriate turbo for the power you want to make and the displacement of your engine its that simple, my friend ben has a civic hatch on a monster turbo its a built b18 his power band is from 7000rpm to 10000 rpm which sucks but hes make 830whp on 35 lbs of boost he runs 42 at the track and runs 10.00 all day long, on low boost he makes 650 thats at 16 psi. its all about what you want out of the car, whether you want it to be sick nasty in a straight line or if you want to road race or drift. just buy the parts that fit with your goals

Just got back from the drag strip. There was a supra there, TT, running low 12's.

You can get decent fast with a dual turbo set up. And it was his DD if that says anything.
