It's nice to be around people who enjoy the same hobby, and I also like to look at nice cars, but at the same time I'm always kind of on my toes watching my car because I really dislike when people touch it or smoke really close to it, or want to lean/sit on it haha. Also, I kind of dislike when people tell me what I should do with my car. There are always some self-proclaimed 240 gurus who act like they're better than you and think that every 240 is supposed to be a race car, and I'm always told about my bad suspension geometry, some can't grasp that I know all that but honestly I just don't care. As for the OP question, I avoid meets in general. Everyone at my local meets trys to act like a major badass. And it's usually the hondas or stock EVOs/STis. Nothing wrong with the cars. But nothing to brag about or act like a badass for driving one.

If I went this weekend I guarantee I would see someone in a leased 2.0T Genesis with NOTHING done to it and the guy would just thing he is the bees knees.

I like to go to meet people AND see cars. But mostly the cars. I can get more convo out of people on forums than I can in person sometimes. Truth be told, some are cool. But a good deal act like a-holes out here in the tri-state area. ESPECIALLY if they have a newer car.

They just sit around it or IN it with whoever they rolled with. They don't even know how to take a compliment on their car or seem inviting. If that's the case, or you too scared, thinking someone's gonna jack your car, stay outside your house and sit in it!
