So I get a phone call mid-week from my trusty friend Ronald, he is a local street racer who brings me fast cars to destroy on a regular basis. I thought I had heard the last from him though because after my last race he explained that there was nothing left for me to run, I had beaten them all. He says he has a friend with a 2002 Viper GTS with some bolt ons that made 437rwhp and went 123 through the traps. I'm thinking "no problem, bring it on" Since I have beaten GSX-R750's that run 130 through the traps. Viper GTS's weigh 800lbs more than my S14. Then he goes, "oh yeah, he has a 125 shot and just dynoed 550 and 700 lb/ft torque, he wants to run on the bottle first"
Time to break out the secret weapon! I go load up 5 gallons of 112octane leaded fuel, crank the boost to 2.0 bar (30psi)
and go for a test ride hehe. I drive around anxiously waiting for the fuel to get through the system, once I have driven about 5 miles I decide to do a U-turn while no one is around, I see a Z28 heading my way and so I get turned around, shift up to third and just wait for him to approach. I am going about 55 or so and when I see him get beside me, I nail it, boost comes on and suddenly the car is sideways as hell, left then right the tail swings pointing me into the median, off I go sliding sideways at 60+mph into the grass, I lifted and concentrated on steering, I managed to steer the car right back onto the road right before the median ended with a steep incline, I would have been airborn for sure, hehe. Well, since the car has never broken the tires loose in third before, I wasn't expecting it to happen, therfore, I wasnt prepared to saw at the wheel like I usually have to do in second. It was one helluva adrenalin rush.
Any idea as to estimated rwhp at 30psi on a very cold day? I dynoed 391 at 24psi on a 95 degree day with lots of humidity.
I was supposed to roll on in third with this Viper but I guess I cant really race him until I get more rubber underneath my car. Ah what the hell! Hopefully I will get it on film and can post it up here for all to view! TaTa!

i believe him.

when i had mine set at 30psi, it was insane. the tach moves like it was in first gear.

predict 450-480rwhp at 30psi.

although, your turbo looses efficiency after 28psi. so anymore than 30psi, and its a waste.

be careful though. your fuel system is maxing out at 30psi or is at the edge.

plus there is a lot of heat building up when you do that, watch for your head to lift or oil crapping out. your in dangerous territory with 30psi.

best of luck to you tonight. dont die on us. and keep both hands on the wheel

HOLY **** JAY!!!

Good luck tonight, and be safe. That would really suck to screw up your car or die. But we all know you'll be as safe as possible.

Jg240- Just about everything. Check the link in my sig for list of mods.

The Viper backed out because he couldn't get his NOS to work so I had to race a 682rwhp Supra instead. He didn't beat me as bad as I thought he would. My clutch was slipping so bad at 30psi that I had to turn it back down to 25. I think with a new clutch and 30psi I may have a chance with the supra hehe.

This second one takes some special crazy codec to view. This is the name of it but I have no idea where to get it. SLDcodecpack1.4-HELLFIREversion.exe

I downloaded the divx player for it and it wouldn't work. You have to search for the codec that I listed in order to view it, it was the only way I could get i to play.

That's wierd, because that codec that you mentioned is actually just an opensource divx codec. I didn't bother downloading it and it worked fine for me.
