I am planning to buy some Ground Control Coil Conversion kit for my KYB AGX adjustable strusts. I've tried searching other write-ups and previous installs but still can't find the right answer???:-/

The the delema that i am running into is the Spring Perch on the shock body... to successfully install the Ground Control Conversion kit, you have to remove the spring perch and place the threaded sleave over the perch ring (the ring that previously held the perch in place.) Most write-ups i've seen have the removable perchs. My KYB's are welded on to the shock body. I know there have been other installs where the perch is left on and the sleave rests on top of it, unfortunately my perch is angled to lock the spring in place. What do i have to do to get by this?? Has anyone ran into this problem???

i am guessing my KYB's are an older set, i've see other adjustable set that go up to 16 damper point, as of mine are only have four points.

any advice on this is greatly appreciated and thanks in advance....

i would think you would have to cut them. many years ago thats what i did.. but you have to cut them very slowly and carefully because you wouldnt want them to get too hot or you wouldnt want to gut into them cuz they'll blow in your face..

Or if you say you have an odlder set of them i would just buy a new set then the whole suspension will be brand new... but thats if you got the cash...
