Well the parts started to arrive at the office. I am doing a 400 cubic inch small block Chevy into my 91 240sx coupe. It will be called project "Riced Rat Rod" and will eventually be wide body, flat black with rat rod-esque color coded wheels on it. The idea is to get the motor together and dynoed first. It will make 550-575 HP NA and about 700-750 HP on nitrous.

It will be used for drag, drift, road race. Mckinney Motorsports is 1 mile from the office and they will be assisting with the engine mount kits on their S13 front clip they have in house. This way they can get the mounts figured out before I even have the motor in the car. Before we can do that, I still need to figure out with a temp. transmission for it. It will get a Tremec TKO-600 but that won't be available to December and hope to have the car running by Oct. The car will get the stock KA pulled, all un needed things removed, engine bay painted and motor installed. Suspension, body and wheels will follow soon.

It will be front sump with a 65 Nova pan that will need some slight modification

Once I get enough parts together, we will be doing a bunch of articles and videos of the build of the car on Hot Rod & Muscle Car Videos, News, Articles & Tech on Street Legal TV - PowerTV Network (http://www.streetlegaltv.com)

Parts list, updated as I get it

400 cubic inch Dart SHP short block
Mahle Forged Pistons
Scat H beams
Scat forged crank
Dart Pro 1 215cc aluminum heads
Dart single plane intake manifold
all gaskets, studs etc.

Should be a NASTY project!
Me and my buddies have been throwing the idea around for a stockish sbc in a s13 we got as a parts car.

I will be checking back for updates.

More pics/progress or this thread is useless. I really don't care what you are planning on doing, I wanna see what you DID do!

Agreed, a block and some boxes do not, a build thread, make.

Either show the progress, or wait until you actually have progress before your post a Thread.

While this may turn out to be a fast car, this isnt a build thread. "build" means you "build" something. Right now this is just a "bought" thread.

still, good luck

I am totally calm, I just think it is stupid to post a build thread without and actual build. I find it funny that you felt it necessary to respond to my post, but didn't have the balls to respond to thatguy's post as well (which happens to share my opinion). Anyways good luck and re-post this when you actually get to building it as I am fairly confident that this thread will either be locked or will just die.

Well put! I don't post a thread everytime I buy something, I just update the mod list in my pic gallery.

Sorry, but since there is no progression yet, this thread is getting closed.

Basically what zilvia is striving for, is "Built" threads. Take pictures and document your progress while you build it, then when it's near completion, post the thread with everything right up front. If not, these threads turn into circle jerks of "Ohhhs and Ahhhhs" over parts, but we hardly ever actually see something get done.

I hope you understand and are willing to share this project with us again when it is further along.
