The 240SX Leaves Tomorrow

This year sucks so far. Since New Year's Eve, I've had the flu and my whole family is sick and my mom had to go to the hospital. I didn't get to party New Year's either. I'm still sicker than **** today but I had to go to the bank and return movies. My dad went with me and he said the 240SX has to go. He hates it for some reason. We have too many cars as of right now and he wants the 240 to go since he likes it the least.

I can either
A) Move out and be free, move into an apartment that would hopefully allow me two have 2 cars and keep working low paying jobs forever and struggle to make a new car payment and for the apartment.

B) Stay at home, get rid of the 240sx, work part time, go to tech school or college, and stop paying rent and my dad will spend $2,000 on remodeling the whole basement for me to live in. For free, mind you.

C) Sell my other vehicle which I bought new and keep driving my 193,000 mile 240SX that may die any day.

Either way, as of tomorrow, the 240SX's new home will be out in the country exactly 25 minutes away in the middle of nowhere at my cousin's house. If it weren't for him, the 240SX would have to be sold for no more than $750. And it only costs $20 in insurance, a month, so it's obvious why I don't want to sell it. The aftermarket parts on it are worth more than the car itself. The car runs perfectly too. Such a ****ty way to start off 2003.

Is it possible to "sell" to your cousin, or just store it? That way it looks like the car disappeard and no one is the wiser. Then when the finances are a little better, you can bring it back. :)

Otherwise, as sad as the situation goes, stick with the new car as its probably a little more reliable in terms of age of parts, etc, and try to further yourself with education. Good luck with what happens.

You can sell it to me for cheap and let it begin a new life...... LOL I can add another 240 to the stable... ;)

that's a good idea, my cousin may buy it. he likes the car. but he likes to tear things up :eek:

but if not, i'd consider selling it to you alan. it would make a nice sil80 with an SR! but then i'd want you to sell it to me once i had the money ;)

That totally sucks James. What is your other car? Why won't your dad let you sell it and keep the 240?

Good luck--I hope it gets better. My bf and I were sick on New Year's, too. We rented movies and struggled to stay up until midnight :(

hey lauren. my other vehicle is an `02 blazer xtreme. although i like having a new vehicle, i would sell it it a heartbeat and keep the 240SX if didn't need a little body work and an engine rebuild someday. still runs like the day i got it, but it does have 193,000 miles :( i should'a never bought the blazer ;) but, i do want to want to stay at home and go to college, so, i gotta go by the house rules.

kandyflip445: i wish i knew! he hates my friend's 300ZX as well. he must be crazy. i think i'm going to keep the car (at my cousin's) and just hope that i don't need any quick cash when i start working part time. but if i do, then i'll have to sell it i guess.

My parents too, hate my 240s... I feel your pain. But after all, you shouldnt worry, I mean, You DID sell your 240 to your cousin. ;)

Whats with all the nonsense about parents hating 240s? So they're RWD but cheep on insurance. I got 3 words to all the haters out there: **** all Ya'll!

before selling the car I would take out everything of value, suspension, stereo, flywheel (i don't know what else you got), then when you're ready to buy another car look for a 93-94 240 with low mileage.
193xxx is a lot of miles
