My car has been out of commision for about a year and 4 months. and now I am done. I spent/wasted alot of time, messing around with other options. I got it as a ka-t but than it started blowing some smoke and making noise. so I stopped driving it, took it apart, and than after 6 months decided to go back to na ka24de. I have full suspension, and now I have final konnexion sides and front, along with some new interior ish, and 350z wheels for now. I am painting the aero this sunday, and I just finished rebuilding the motor, and puttig in all new gaskets. I know it is not turbo, but it is super clean. I will post pics as soon as I finish. Just been without my car for so long, and am stoked to finally get almost all aspects of my car finished.
I have a black zenki s14 btw.
and I am just nervous because I did all te work myself, so I hope it all goes smoothly.

sooooooo after two days. i finished my interior.
and as of right now here is the status. i will post pics probably tomorrow.
I dont have before pics of how bad and messed up everything was. but I have been busy just ask crashqueen.
so here is the status.
engine bay clean and detailed. and repainted to black. everything looks new. like it rolled off the showroom floor in 96. the engine is just as fresh and clean. i had to remove the obd2 intake manifold, ( which is now apart due to me changing the gaskets and vacume lines) than i will bolt that up tonight, as well as removing the tranny and cleaning it,) than tomorrow i will bolt the tranny and starter up as well as change the rear main seal, and i have to put the a/c lines in and than i wil drop the motor.
once that is done, I will finish wetsanding the sideskirts and bumpers for paint. and i am picking up my wheels on tuesday. after tuesday i just have to register and insure it.
bad news is, one of the jacks gave way as i was goign to put the jackstand under passenger side of the car, and the jack failed and the car dropped and the jackstand was not placed and i put a big dent under the side of the body and now i have to pound that out before the passenger side of the sideskirts will fit caust there will not be space for it.
sigh. shit. well atleast the door opens, and everything looks great. i just pray everything works on the engine. just wanted to keep all of you posted, aaaaaannnnnndd for the ones that have read this I will give first dibs to anyone that wants my ....
jdm din gauge cluster for the s14( 75 obo)
power steering pump from a 94 ka24 de (70 obo)
ka motor mounts(40 obo)
tranny mount (20 obo)
I will put this stuff on the for sale thread once I finish the car, this week.
I might even have a ka alt.
hit me up if interested. and mods sorry if i broke the rule by posting this stuff for sale in the chat thread. just wanted to give the people who read this thread dibs.

so here is the low down.
yesterday I .......
changed the gaskets and all the hoses( fuel and vac) on the intake manifold.
mounted all the brackets
the alt
changed the rear main seal and smashed one of my fingers in the process.
mounted the clutch and flywheel
and tranny and dropped in the motor.
after mounting the nismo motor mounts and peak performance tranny mount.

and the rundown for today......
I needed to find a 96 pigtail for the maf, which I did not have because of the previous setup.
and in freshole thats as easy as finding binladen. but I did find one and it cost near 40$.
so than I have to splice it and put it in. so today the motor was already in, but I needed to bolt in the motor and tranny mounts, and hook up the wire harness, and all the heater hoses and vac lines, and i re wrapped all the ecu lines so thhey are clean new electrical tape, and I had to put on all the brackets.
I also put in my new shift boot after I filled the tranny with lucus oil and 80-90.
I than put in my new personal steering wheel and works bell hub. and my titanium shiftknob and ebrake knob.
all of which I owe a big thank you to Logan at ASPEC.
love the parts cant wait to finally use them . I know I also need new carpet, gear oil seeped all over the carpet. so hear are the pics.

i was jacking from the frame, but the jack failed. I had one more pump to go before I could place the jack stand where i need it, and than the jack made a loud whine noise and dropped that ish on the body.

yeah I know where to jack the car from.
today i was going to start her up but it got too late. and my car would be loud as hell, because I don't have my exhaust hooked up because the old setup was turbo and i would need a down pipe.
today I just put the alt and powerssteering pulleys on, and went to osh and found some clean ass clamps for the wireharness, the ones that screw into the upper timming chain cover.
put the radiator in, the fan, the intake, finished the wireing.
put the fan shroud on, put the hood on, cleaned off the old nissan badge, put in the glove box in and cut the whole in the back for the ipod. and had to run some errands.
by tomorrow the car will be running for sure. just have to put in some fluids, siphon out the old gas. than I have to go to the exhaust shop and have it fixed.
i spent today just double checking everything to make sure everything is cool.
just dont want to make any mistakes, and cut any corners.

so these pics are of what got done last night. today I filled the fluids, dry started here to get the oil going and than when I went to wet start her, she did nt start. I dont think my fuel pump is kicking on, or I might have missed something somewhere. I will trouble shoot and have it running strong tomorrow for sure. It was hot as Africa today, so I am drained. here are some pics.

so yesterday I dry started it and it stil would not start when i went to wet start it.
I was certain it was the battery, so I charged it, and the charger says it is full but when i turn it over it just sounds like shit. so i check the fuel pump wiring, and turns out one of the grounds was not on, ground it, turn the key and the fuel pump comes on, but car does not start, i take the key out and the fuel pump is stil running. so unplug the ground. confused like all hell. going to buy a battery tomorrow, and hope that I can fid whatever electrical problem i have( if I have one).
and to top it all off, I fell asleep in my car while waiting for te battery to charge, it was like 100 degrees plus in the shade, and when I woke up I locked my keys in the car.
what a day!!!
but its not that bad. hoping for tomorrow.

i think it came out okay. I had to use a sawsall and cut the sides off the front bumper support and i need the front turn signals from B.Rogers.
a big thank to b. rogers for the front and john (addictedt2kouki) for the sides. I have always wanted this kit. thanks.

I know the pain man, My old S13 coupe sat in my garage for a good 6 months after I accidentally drove straight into a flooded road and blew the headgasket and cracked my radiator. I was floating for a few minutes, S13's make pretty good boats..Good luck.

Nice man congrats, i know how you feel. I bought a car about 6 months ago and my buddie did an engine swap for me. It's a 91 240 coupe. He put the SR in and then he helped me put all the mods, im not really experienced at all. Now next thursday we are taking it to the dyno, so i can drive it, but i it still needs paint some areo, coilovers and some interior, but here is to getting are rides back on the road. Car looks good to. Im going to paint mine black to, Looks good and doesn't draw the wrong kind of attention.

son of a biiiiiiiiitttttcccchhhhhhhhh.
I get my ecu in the mail from my friend ( which was before the one i order from R & D factory) and he sent it a week after they did.
well I plug it in and te car still cranks and does not start. so i check fuel and spark, has spark but the fuel dribbles out, so i check out the fuel pump and the previous owner did not have the factory plug on the cap, so i get a new one and wire it up, now the fuel pump is great, has plenty of presure. so i check all my fuses and the only one that is bad is the 12v one under the kickpanel. Now I am super stressed out. I have no idea what could be wrong. rather than ask everyone for help and get a million answer from a million people. I am downloading the factory service manuel and look up the troubleshooting for te problem.
wish i knew. shit is drivin me crazy and it is stopping me from moving down south.
I look at this thread title and it makes me laugh, cause it is not done like the title says it is suposed to be.

GOT THE CAR RUNNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
upper timming chain was off.
turns out the space between the cam sprocket marks is 14 links and the exhaust cam needs to be at the twelve oclock position and the intake needs to be at 9 oclock.
so she runs, and the exhaust was not bolted up so i had to drive it to the exhaust shop and it sounded like a ww2 bomber.
but on the way back from the exhaust shop i noticed my heater hose is too tight and is leaking at the clamp. going to get that done tomorrow, it is such a pain to get to it due to the abs and the position of the hose.
