i was just wonderin if anyone has ever used a Hamp oil filter on their 240sx or nissan period.

i have the short version of the oil filter and my friend has the regular version on his skyline, but i dunno if it will even fit and i dont have an OE filter to compare to.

thanks in advance and sorry if u feel u wasted your time...im pretty sure im :loco: anyways. haha

People tell me it's ok, but that it's almost the same a K&N or Amsoil.
I haven't tried it myself, but Amsoil works fine for me.

I used it on my civic and honestly a toyo s2000 filter beat it up and down.

The synergy filters claim they boost oil pressure by keeping the filter size small. How come most honda engine builders/FI guys use either larger s2000 filters (Filtec/toyo riki (sp)?)or make an oil filter relocation kit and use a larger ford wix filter?

IMO stick with OEM, as long as nissan doesnt subcontract fram like honda does for their non-jdm filters. For the s14 Ive used wix, and it took about 5 seconds for the oil light to turn off, switched to mobil1, took 2 seconds.

Stick with something that has more media...I.E OEM

i used hamp filters on my civic.

i used to use either K&N or mobil1 on the SR, but now that i work at a dealer, i just use OEM ones.

OEm seem better than mobil1 or K&n's?

I used Hamp on my honda. I can't find it right now, but they did a test on the Hamp oil filters, and the test results pretty much showed they are POS.

Oem is the best.
