I got a bumper.

This bumper is urethane.

The mounting holes in the bumper have been torn.

I want to fix these holes.

I want to use the bumper.

I want to mount the bumper with the bumper mounting holes.

What can I do?

Torn? Shit I didn't even notice. I need to go look at the other ones.

Just one on the driver side. No biggie.

but I'm asking for my US bumper and lip too.

I've tried melting someone else's with a soldering iron but it doesn't hold well.

the top holes? i've seen people run another peice of plastic over the top, (like a half inch/1 inch strip), then either 2 stage epoxy (the good stuff) or plastic weld it together, then drill the holes out again, in the stock location

The corner holes where it meets the fender in the wheel well.

By that logic, would you not be able to jus plastic weld the corners of the hole together?

I was gonna try silicone adhesive...

I mean, it may work and never have a problem, but i dunno. If you can get a little plastic washer and glue/epoxy it around the hole, it would probably NEVER fail at that point.

kind of like this concept, but with plastic:

i made a bracket out of sheet metal when that happened to my zenki, cut it to fit, and then plastic welded the crap out of it. then i used a hole puncher to get the right size. worked pretty well till i sold the front end.

Thats what Pank was talking about except with plastic vs sheet metal.

Guess thats the way to do it..

i epoxied a washer over the top of the hole so that the washer would be the hole, you gotta get good epoxy though

I was thinking some kind of metal too.
Maybe make 2 pieces the size and shape of the whole mounting spot.
put the regular holes in them.
put them on both sides of the urathane.
And mount it up, just torque it down so the metal pinches the urathane so hard it cant move.

that's what i'd do, or just pop rivet some plumber's strap to it.

what ive seen at the shop i hang out at is the trace a thin piece of sheet metal and rivet it on the under side. it seems to hold up pretty welll
