Hey guys... Many of you probably saw my post that was all of two weeks old about me getting a nice 1994 240sx Convertible...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v422/l2edken/240sx/Alex6.jpg
Well... Cruising my way back from Woodstock, some dumbasses decided to ruin my day. Earlier in the day there was road construction on a bridge, and the workers POORLY poured still warm asphalt/tar mixture (believe its called fiber mix) over the potholes they dug... Well three cars in a line with me last were traveling up to the bridge. The first driver for NO REASON, locks his brakes when he saw the tar, which in turn cause number two driver to lock up, which in turn made me lock up my brakes to avoid a collision. Sadly by the time i was hitting my brakes, my tires were plastered SMACK on the this fiber mix, causing me to lock up and slide on top of this tar/gravel mix... Damage ensues...

Heart broken, my car is towed in the opposite direction from where i live for no odd reason... Yesterday as soon as im awake, me and my father go to pick up car and see if we can get it home. Slapped with a 530 dollar towing bill for towing, storage and handling. My day is shit to begin with. Much work ensues in the sun for almost two hours before the car is jerry rigged into place and driven home. Amazingly the accident did NOTHING the engine or suspension. Today, car home and safe, we decide to pick it apart and see what we are dealing with.

no real damage besides the radiaot support and side..

^ Worst by far...

^ thats how much it was pushing in on this side...

All in all i think it can be done... Luckily, kind people on the forum like "wowitsaboy" are donating me a bumper and hood so i can try to get this back on the road... Locally there is a 90 fastback shell so im gonna see if i can get some fenders, bumper support, and radiaotr supoort of his. IF anyone has any local shells or even any local expertise on this kind of project it would be greatly appreciated and you will be acknoledged for your help. Please help me with this everyone... And i will keep you up to date on the project as it goes... WITH camera in hand :D :bigok:

hahaha thanks man... oddly enough... even the guy that i hit, WHOM by the way didn't even care, his car was accident prone it seemed cause the front was mashed in, so were sides, didn't even care. Hes not filing anything and even he said that i was a good distance behind him and we weren't speeding... IDK

I would investigate where the fender buckled in 4th pic down, you might have more damage than you think bud. And you can sue the city if it was poorly marked or not marked at all, my dad hit a sewer lid awhile back, the city didnt mark it, city paid for all damages.

Im in greene county, in the small lil town of Windham... Im gonna check with Post Brothers Junkyard in catskill and see if they have anything

We pretty much ripped apart the entire fender area... The part that is making it so far pushed back is going to be replaced more then anything... Its not too bad. Also im gonna see if i can swing back over there to check the signage (sp?) If i remember correctly the bridge during the accident only had ONE sign saying construction ahead, but on the second day there was a second sign MAYBE 100FT before the bridge that said bridge work ahead... NOTHING about road conditions or even a BUMP/DIP sign, which is what startled the first driver into locking up.

dude i had to do the same stuff to my car it took + frame straightening took us two months to finish, me and my bro are repair men so we had the tools on hand to do it, but as a word of hope its not as hard as it looks seriously, surely no a J.B weld job but not non repairable for sure hope it works out

Then my father and I went crazy on that busted ass fender area... Look to previous pictures to see the damage... 1 day and a couple tools later, had it pulled and set right back into place

About 1 month later i got myself a new parts shell, with a running motor which made it easy to get home...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v422/l2edken/Parts%20For%20Sale/DSC09421.jpg
^also for sale now, http://zilvia.net/f/cars-sale/215101-1990-s13-240sx-shell-w-motor-trans.html

2 Days later me and my friend swapped all the parts to get this:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v422/l2edken/240sx/67dd9f8d.jpg

Not bad but i hated the white front... so 4 days into having it done, i got my first coat of primer/ gloss black on... turned out nice but not nearly done
